Watching a show on cults I noticed strong parallels with the "Obama zombies."
Obama displays the narcissistic personality disorder traits:

Obama was abandoned by his father completely and by his mother during his formative years. His very name was changed back and forth. This disruptive childhood is common among cult leaders (Manson, Jones, etc.)
The recruitment tactics for the Obama politically machine are cultish. Obama seeks 'activists' among the young.
Interesting that Jones was quoted as citing his enemies as "those that want to break progressive non-violent forces for change within society..." Jones used community activism and good deeds to attract new members and increase his power.
Typical in a cult is the framing of the good/evil. Those that are enlightened are in the cult and those opposed are demonized.
Cult members don't associate with others. Why do they need to hear opposing viewpoints when they have the truth?
Why have press conferences? Who does a Leader have to answer to? There are friends in the press who are brought into the circle. Press and public perception must be controlled.

A cult leader, like Jim Jones, David Koresh, Marshall Applewhite, Mao, Adolf Hitler, Marcus Garvey or the like? Yeah, pretty much.
His is as close to a religious movement as possible. Since there is no scripture, he is free to design the belief system as he sees fit. His followers defend him through some of the nuttiest and jaw-dropping actions.
Out economy is in the tank, our defense is weakening, jobs are being lost == and his cult believes in him.
Their followship is because of cult group-think; not objectivity.
