US to host major economies meeting on climate

WASHINGTON, April 7 (Reuters) - The United States will host a meeting of major economies on April 18-19 in Washington to advance talks on a global deal to fight climate change, the top U.S. climate negotiator said on Wednesday.

Todd Stern told Reuters he hoped U.N. climate talks in 2010 would lead to agreements on six outstanding issues, including financing for poor countries' pollution-control efforts, but he said it was unclear whether a legally binding deal to reduce greenhouse gas emissions would be reached this year.

"Is there going to be a legal treaty? I think we don't know that," Stern said.

The Major Economies Forum, which helped nudge big emitters to support a goal of limiting global warming to less than 3.6 degrees Fahrenheit (2 degrees Celsius) above pre-industrial levels, was not intended to be a negotiating forum to replace the United Nations, Stern said, reiterating U.S. policy.

Analysts have speculated the forum or other groups would take on a greater role this year in climate negotiations after chaotic U.N. talks in Copenhagen in December ended without a legally binding pact.

They’re not about to give this up, are they? The opportunity for additional taxation that is. Everybody already knows that this climate garbage is just that, garbage.

These kind of bastards are killing us and all under the umbrella of false science, lies, and endless media pressure.

You know... this is only going to end in one of two ways:

We either fight as if our very lives depend on it... and they most certainly do...

or we roll over and acquiesce to slavery under a socialist and eventual communist government.

Please do not argue that we shall stop these bastards in November... That is seven months distant... and it might as well be an eternity, considering the damage that is being accomplished.

It is time for massive civil disobedience... and that is the least we should be doing.

I doubt there will be any real unrest until the money starts running out. As long as unemployment checks keep flowing and people can live of them, then unemployment doesn’t mean much. It is a concerted effort by the politicians, the Fed, and the media to mask the consequences of these central planning policies. So far debt is exploding, but as long as interest rates are low... this can go on for a while.

Why do I strongly suspect that there will be a large table, noticeable for the abundance of empty chairs.

Then we are all done as a nation. We are officially bankrupt both economically and morally as a people.

America will go out with a whimper, while those who know the real score stand around with their thumb up their ass, waiting for somebody else to do something. I would bet every paycheck for the rest of the year on this outcome.

The apathy is so thick you could cut it with a knife. The only resistance Americans seem to be capable of is shouting at town hall meetings. Big damn deal.

Sometimes culture needs to go through the Dark Ages before it reaches the Renaissance.

The moment is approaching, but not yet.

Wait silently until it is apparent. No one will need to explain it when it happens.

This is still America. This is still Texas where I live.

Whatever it takes!

All Congressmen who voted for Cap&Trade MUST be removed.

They are either Traitors or simply too stupid to hold public office. No Exceptions, they must all be removed.

Here is the list:

“Is there going to be a legal treaty? I think we don’t know that,” Stern said.

This can’t be allowed to happen. The Obamanators are pretending that the East Anglia climate fraud revelations never happened. They would like this will go away in the public consciousness long enough for Obama to sign on to an international treaty to make us part of the Europe suicide pact.

“Sometimes culture needs to go through the Dark Ages before it reaches the Renaissance.”
That sounds like fun. The last time civilization fell It took 1000 years to get it back. And that was without public schools to mess up kids’ heads.

I didn’t mean a literal Dark Ages. I wasn’t being clear... My point is as long as we are in this fantasy world of artificially low interest rates then more than half the country will generally be apathetic. There are many people who see this world in a false narrative, and a dose of reality will be inevitable and in some cases beneficial.

Newsflash:

1600’s
It’s cold in winter and warm in summer.
1700’s
It’s cold in winter and warm in summer.
1800’s
It’s cold in winter and warm in summer.
1900’s
It’s cold in winter and warm in summer.
2000’s
Do ya think it will be cold in winter and warm in summer?

Oh and by the way the sun rises in the east and sets in the west. It’s done so for many many many years.

Now these morons come along and create this thing called climate change and we are all supposed to pay them a tax so they can make sure that the sun will continue to rise in the east and set in the west. If we don’t pay them the tax the sun might not rise in the east and set in the west. Even though it’s done so for millennia. I am really fed up with this crap.
