It’s possible, I suppose, but I seriously doubt THAT many listeners called in because of Rush. I heard him encourage that, too, and was amused, but have too many other things to do.
I suspect most of the callers really do think they are about to get something for nothing.
I may as well confess. It isn’t just Rush that is encouraging chaos.....I’ve kinda helped it along too.
I was trying to figure out what is more powerful than odumer’s (lower case intended) bully pulpit and the MSM. It dawned on me, the “good ole” grapevine.
So, I called my Mom, Mother-in-Law and a few other elderly friends. I didn’t want to lie to them so here’s what I told them; I figure the premiums for the new healthcare will be held out of people’s welfare checks like your medicare premiums are witheld from your SS check. I only said, “I figure” and the grapevine took care of the rest.
Sure enough, in less than 36 hours the “word” was out. When someone repeats this to me I guess they wonder why I start laughing. I just say I heard it too!
My better half says this is a strategy. It’s working so well he’s using it too! We have family and friends all over several states that decided to do it also. It’s all over our state now!
