If I thought it would make any difference, he could refer to them as the Sugar Plum Fairies or Smurfs, but so far it isn't having much impact on the over zealous adherents to the concept of Jihad or concepts of similar nature WHEREVER they may be. If it gives our president a warm, fuzzy feeling to write “words” on paper, far be it from me to deny him what little comfort he has in his current position.

I am the strongest proponent of pouring oil on the waters to calm them — I take “Blessed are the peacemakers” to a fine art. Unfortunately, my attempts to negotiate the bumpy patches in the road of life have been met by an on-coming 18 wheeler, fully loaded, going 60 MPH most of the time. I suspect our president will meet the same fate, but since we've managed to bungle everything else in the country, why not give it a try?
