On occasion some child is discovered on a school bus hours later,or a child is left in a hot car;it is simply a failure of bus, drivers, pilots, and parents to be perfect.

This guy needs to man up. Boo hoo.

"If I'd been a vulnerable passenger, a young girl or elderly, it could have been a lot worse," he added.
"The other implication is that if I was a terrorist, then I've got an hour-and-a-half after the plane's landed, all by myself, in a secure area on a plane." Oh, shut up.

Well apparently his body needed the sleep. And isn’t the Captain supposed to walk the plane and be the last one to exit?
To: rockvillem
Manning up certainly would not mean refraining from warning the airline about the security risk they took.

Sheesh, what I wouldn’t give to be able to sleep like that!

The gall, to think of persons other than himself.

I’m surprised the crew that cleans the interior of the aircraft didn’t notice him, also.
To: KeyLargo
With a mug like that, I would have let him sleep, too.

“He says he’s not satisfied with the airline’s explanation that the flight attendant was dealing with several wheelchair passengers and didn’t check the rest of the cabin. “
In other words; Mommy didn’t wake me up; and I’m mad. What a wuss this guy is!
I would be too embarrassed to let this be made public if it happened to me; let alone whine about it.

The airline is apparently lax on child care?
Poor little boy, he must have been so traumatized....

Happened to me one time. I fell asleep on a flight from Savannah to Jacksonville, FL and they almost took off again for Miami before the flight attendant woke me up and asked if I was going to Miami..............

I was on a flight from AF tech school in Florida to California. Long overnight flight so I tucked in for a long sleep.
When I woke up the entire plane was empty.
I felt like I was in the Twilight Zone, but really I was in Houston. The plane had 3 of 4 motors that control the flaps on the wings fail, so we did an “emergency” landing in Houston for the night.
Nobody woke me up!
But I just got off the plane, took my free hotel room for the night, and laughed about it.

They are not supposed to stick passengers in hangars.
