Health care overhaul spawns mass confusion for public (where's my stash?)
McClatchy News ^ | April 6, 2010 | Margaret Talev

WASHINGTON — Two weeks after President Barack Obama signed the big health care overhaul into law, Americans are struggling to understand how — and when — the sweeping measure will affect them.

Questions reflecting confusion have flooded insurance companies, doctors' offices, human resources departments and business groups.

"They're saying, 'Where do we get the free Obama care, and how do I sign up for that?'

........ (some) Americans are struggling to understand when and how they will get Ohaha's free healthcare. After all, it was explained in EXCRUCIATING detail, over a period of months and months and months and months..........

R-i-g-h-t. The TRANSPARENCY of the Ohaha admin was exemplary.....a beacon of light for all adminstrations So unlike that warmonger Bush (/snix).

============================================

No wonder Ohaha's trying to shut us up. Seems like tea partiers, conservatives and all the other "right wingers" are the only ones smart enough to know the intricate details of the scam Ohaha, Pelosi and Reid pulled off.

The degradation of our govt by these people is astounding.

Is it too much to hope that when the rest of the citizenry find out what really happened, they will rise up and demand these people get out of our govt?

I’m gonna git me some free money!

Where does the money come from?

It comes from Obama!

Where does Obama get the money?

From his stash...

Many people do not understand money at all. They do not associate money with sacrifice, work, adding value, risk, or success.

They see money as rainfall. It rains on some people and not on others.

Those who happen to get a lot of rain, have an obligation to share with those who happen not to have received rain.

Its only fair. You don’t want to be ‘greedy’ do you?

This sums up the way many Leftists, including Obama and his elitist lackeys, think. They don’t have a clue.

Any federal version of health care is unconstitutional since Article 1 Section 8 does not specifically list health care as a power granted to Congress. Not only are the people are not bound to comply with any unconstitutional act but have the responsibility to uphold the Constitution against a tyrannical, runaway government.

The Constitution is the limiting document upon the feds; the federal government cannot become greater than the granting power. That is, the federal servant cannot become greater than its master........the states.

.......according to judicial analyst, and judge, Andrew P. Napolitano healthcare reforms amount to "commandeering" the state legislatures for federal purposes, which the Supreme Court has forbidden as unconstitutional. "The Constitution does not authorize the Congress to regulate state governments. Nevertheless, the Congress has told the state governments that they must modify their regulation of certain areas of healthcare, they must surrender their regulation of other areas of healthcare, and they must spend state taxpayer-generated dollars in a way that the Congress wants it done.(Excerpt) Read more at newsmax.com............

The policy issues may be coming to an end, but the legal issues are certain to continue because key provisions of this dangerous legislation are unconstitutional. Legally speaking, this legislation creates a target-rich environment. We will focus on three of its more glaring constitutional defects. (Excerpt) Read more at online.wsj.com ...

States Can Check Washington's Power; by directly proposing constitutional amendments
WSJ 12/21/09 | DAVID B. RIVKIN JR. AND LEE A. CASEY
FR Posted 12/2/09 by rhema

For nearly a hundred years, federal power has expanded at the expense of the states—to a point where the even the wages and hours of state employees are subject to federal control. Basic health and safety regulations that were long exercised by states under their "police power" are now dominated by Washington.

The courts have similarly distorted the Constitution by inventing new constitutional rights and failing to limit governmental power as provided for in the document. The aggrandizement of judicial power has been a particularly vexing challenge, since it is inherently incapable of correction through the normal political channels.

There is a way to deter further constitutional mischief from Congress and the federal courts, and restore some semblance of the proper federal-state balance. That is to give to states—and through them the people—a greater role in the constitutional amendment process.

The idea is simple, and is already being mooted in conservative legal circles. Today, only Congress can propose constitutional amendments—and Congress of course has little interest in proposing limits on its own power. Since the mid-19th century, no amendment has actually limited federal authority.

But what if a number of states, acting together, also could propose amendments? That has the potential to reinvigorate the states as a check on federal power. It could also return states to a more central policy-making role.

The Framers would have approved the idea of giving states a more direct role in the amendment process. They fully expected that the possibility of amendments originating with the states would deter federal aggrandizement, and provided in Article V that Congress must call a convention to consider amendments anytime two-thirds of the states demand it.(Excerpt) Read more at online.wsj.com ...

RE :"Is it too much to hope that when the rest of the citizenry find out what really happened, they will rise up and demand these people get out of our govt? "

You have to cut off/not fund the benefits before anyone gets them which is years from now. Benefits are like heroin, anyone getting them: democrat, republican, liberal, conservative, libertarian.... will get addicted to them especially if they are told they are owed to them.

In a way the immediate expectation for freebees could backfire like the Obama tax cuts that no one remembers getting did. They called them the "largest middle class tax cut in US history" that nearly no one remembers getting.

It’s worse than that. The program was sold as being “free” to those who are uninsured. Little do they know that everyone will pay increased premiums and fees for “free” healthcare. They are also learning that almost no services in Obamamcare begin until 2014 at the earliest.

Once the Obama worshippers figure this out - and they will eventually - there will be hell to pay. This house of cards is quickly falling apart.

I’ve been trying to encourage the idea that constituents should send all copies of their medical bills to their representatives and Senator’s office that voted for this bill.

I guess one advantage of being a productive taxpaying FReeper is that I am spared this sort of embarassment.

I just had no idea maintaining my dignity would cost so much.

The other replied "yes he know we countin' on him"
I was so proud of myself for keeping my mouth shut :)

This is a classic. These morons don’t even realize that nothing is for free, someone will have to pay for it.

“Ann Wooten of Austin, Texas, a breast cancer survivor, said she didn’t understand whether the health insurance overhaul law meant that she should try to access private coverage again someday. She was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2008 after she lost her insurance in a divorce, and soon after she lost her job at a convenience store as a result of the economic crisis.

Medicaid has covered her treatments but she must apply regularly to renew the coverage.”

Lord forbid that she has to “renew the coverage” for MEDICAID that other people are paying for.

Do you think it is possible that the Roberts court might revisit the commerce clause?

I know Roberts despises Zero.

Do you think he might be able to persuade Kennedy to agree that the commerce clause simply was never intended to be read as it is being read?

It would toss the feds for one helluva loop.

I wonder if he has the stones to do that?

"They're saying, 'Where do we get the free Obama care, and how do I sign up for that?'

When 'they' find out there is no 'Free Obama care', look for riots to break out in every 'urban area' of the USA. They'll make the MLK Riots look like a Girl Scout Camp-out.

But since every 'urban area' that was burned to the ground back then, remains that way today, these 'disenfranchised uninsured' will have to spread out to none urban areas to 'express their frustration' (rob, rape, pillage and burn).

So put on your seat belt, it's gonna be a bumpy ride.

(ready on the right. ready on the left. ready on the firing line)
