Actually, it is and always has been just a piece of paper with some brilliant ideals written on it that depended entirely on all parties agreeing to be bound by it. It depended on all parties being Americans first, being honest/basically decent folk, and agreeing to be bound by it for the common cause of further the interests of America and her people.
In all reality, it’s a contract, nothing more. And when you have one political party basically subverting it to the will of international socialist masters, using every legalese and bullsh*t technicality to squash opposition to them, when you have US Congresscritters captured on film saying “I don’t care about the damn constitution!”, or saying “Dis lib’ral is for soshalizayshun of da Oil Comp’nees”...(actually, I’m surprised that idiot dingbat could even pronounce socialization) and that same political party cancels or abrogates their obligation to that contract, all bets are off.
That’s pretty much where we are now.
