The Grizzly bears love the pipelines because it keeps their toes warm - they use them like highways -

and the caribou population around the pipelines went up - they have their babies under the pipelines because of the warmth - and the grass is green also, because of the warmth.

What really gagged me was a Nature show with Oprah. I wouldn’t watch that if you paid me and I love many nature shows. Sarah is obviously a person who knows much about Alaska but Oprah and nature, I think not.
