Absolutely not true. There has not been an increase in earthquakes. That is simply the media trying to make a story. Earthquakes have always been and always will be.

Millions have died in quakes in the past. These quakes are nothing compared to some of the most deadly ones on record.

I believe they are increasing.

If you compare this decade to the 50’s or the 60’s, yes, you could probably say they are decreasing.
If you compare it to the 70’s-90’s, you would say it is increasing.

We do not have enough history in terms of geological time frames to be certain.

But with the exception of Alaska, we are seeing large or even great quakes on all the primary zones that historically have produced massive, killer quakes.

Personally, I don’t think Chile’s done yet!
