A lesbian student in Mississippi who sued her school for the right to bring her girlfriend to the prom said she was sent to a fake prom instead.

According to McMillen, the prom she attended was at a country club. She said of the five other students at the country club, two had learning disabilities.
"They had the time of their lives," McMillen said. "That's the one good thing that come out of this, [these kids] didn't have to worry about people making fun of them [at their prom]."

Why would this be considered “fake”, maybe it was the “real” prom.
Well maybe the others weren’t forced to go to it. Freedom of Association and all. I would have told my kids not to go if mine attended there.
Will wait for more info as I refuse to rely on the whinings of an attention whore as the gospel.
I was reading on the local newspaper site that the little prima donna failed to purchase the required tickets before the deadline for the first parent planned prom so the parents canceled that one out of fear of being sued. Then a couple other parents went ahead and planned the second official prom at the country club and the STUDENTS planned an alternate party because they were tired of this girls media attention antics.
Is this lesbian now poohing people with DISABILITIES?
Is this lesbian too good to be around others that ALSO have disabilities?
I would like to see the diagnosis of the learning disabled kids.
My daughter has ADD. Which means, she is learning disabled. it also means she forgets timelines. Like the time to buy the right tickets.
It’s not a fake prom. It’s for the learning disabled. Please check the Pembroke MA Cardinal Cushing Council of the Knights of Columbus for their International Service Award for hosting such a prom.
Sounds like both public school proms as well as graduations should be made into private affairs just so that lawsuits can be avoided.

Matt Towery who is a serious pollster once wrote about a similar prom dispute in Georgia where different groups wanted to enjoy different musical styles. I never knew how it turned out. But, I think at this level what is casually referred to as diversity is about having the political, usually judicial clout to impose your favorite flavor of atavism on an unwilling group. Often upon a reluctant majority. Someone else recently wrote that the constitutional right to assemble infers the right not to assemble.
