Butler took Duke to the final possession Monday night, but Gordon Hayward's potential game-winners drew iron as the Blue Devil won the national title 61-59.

Are you referring to the travelling call on Scheyer, when he and Howard went down?
“Would Haywards shot been The Greatest Shot of All Time?”
SO!
Never mind.
I replied to the wrong person.
Sorry.
However, Izzo didn't cry after the game and called it like it was. Butler played physical just like Michigan State does and MSU lost to the better team period.
27 years ago . .wow
An inch higher . . or lower . . or to the left . . .might have gone in. What a finish THAT would’ve been.
WHOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!
CONGRATULATIONS COACH K!!!!!!!!!
If Hayward had forced contact rather than shoot a fadeaway, the refs would have been forced to make a blocking call.
Huh?
You are correct. Butler’s basketball budget is 1.5 million a year and I am sure K makes at least 3 million a year (probably more when you figure in performance bonuses plus summer camps).
The put back by Butler in the 1st half he had his elbow on Nolan Smith’s back going up. No call. Lance Thomas got pushed out of bounds on a Butler rebound in the 1st. No call. Doesn’t matter cause my Blue Devils are National Champs and that’s all that matters!
Butler reached in, armed slapped, body slammed....hell they tackled Zoubeck at the end of the game and the refs said the ball went off his knee out of bounds.
It was a joke. Duke by 20 or more points if the refs were doing their job. Most disgusting officiating I’ve seen in some time.
“Are you referring to the travelling call on Scheyer, when he and Howard went down?”
That was Singler.
One Shining Moment SUCKED!
I thought that should have been a foul on Butler because Scheyer would not have traveled if the Butler player had not fouled him.
And Duke walked all night.
My hats off to the Butler basketball program and its coach Brad Stevens. These were two evenly matched teams that I cannot honestly say one was better than the other.
Unbelievable game tonight!!
Did you see when Scheyer took the 3 and was blatantly fouled...no call.
You got that right. At the very end, Zouback practically threw down the Butler guy. Clearly a foul. Butler got the ball, but the should have been shooting free throws.
