Crist wants Republican Party of Florida investigated for possible tax evasion

TALLAHASSEE (AP) — Gov. Charlie Crist wants a federal prosecutor to investigate possible criminal conduct at the Republican Party of Florida.

Crist wrote to U.S. Attorney Thomas Kirwin on Monday asking for an investigation separate from one being conducted by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, saying federal tax laws may have been violated through credit card abuses.

Last week, the party reported that former Chairman Jim Greer funneled donor money to himself through a corporation he set up with former executive director Delmar Johnson. Greer has denied any wrong doing.

Greer was Crist’s hand-picked chairman. Greer resigned under pressure in February after reports of lavish spending. For months, party activists and donors called for his resignation, but Crist defended him through the day he resigned.

Sure, as long as we see Obama’s credit card donations record.

Interesting. So is Crist playing the if I go down, I am taking all of you with me game or is he trying to posture himself as a no borders, no stone unturned corruption fighter?

Either way - Go Rubio.

Tanning Booth Charlie is trying to inoculate himself against future problems which are about to haunt him due to the antics and misdeeds of his butt boy Jim Greer.

That’s really weird, Isn’t Crist the leader of the Republican Party of Florida and isn’t his appointees the ones that are engaged in corruption.

It does seem like he is going scorched earth here. I have been hearing the dulcet tones of Debbie Wasserman Shultz on the news of late, banging the drum about credit card expenses and Rubio. The Dems really fear the guy. I have yet to see a “there” there on this - and it’s possible Christ is calling for an investigation with a long gestation phase, just so the issue will be alive.

Gee Charlie -- You remind me of a picture I once saw, which I thought was equally as stupid and unproductive as what you are doing (EPIC FAIL):

This sounds and smells like Crist is setting himself up as an independent.

At the very least he is going to pull a RINO Scuzzy manuver and endorse the democrat.

Remember this is after Crist appoints a homosexual as his seat warmer in the senate AND the RNC is exposed for recuitiving homosexual women by taking them to bondage clubs as a recruiting tool.

Crist is desperate. The RNC needs to withdraw their support of him. Ms. Day who is an officer of the RNC needs to push for the removal of the RNC endorsement AND MONEY.

This is an attack on Rubio by using the office of governor.
