This is a year old, but seemed timely given the assassination of Terreblanch, the former head of the Afrikaner Resistance Movement, which is on the front of Drudge. Also, it will be interesting to see if the crime is controlled during the world cup.

Gee, maybe the whites were not all that bad down there. I hear that country was the cream of Africa, but now it has been spoiled like the rest of the continent.

... Fourteen years after apartheid, why are the best and the brightest leaving Africa's most successful state?

Sad.

Why couldn’t they have left before their Greco-Roman wrestling national champion kicked my )(@* in ‘96?

Being Africa’s most successful state is like winning the NIT.

I personally know of three white women who left because of the fear of rape. They are now happily living and working in the good ole’ USA!

Yup. Just like in Zimbabwe, once a prosperous country that was a net contributor to the African continent, but now a festering hell-hole from which almost all whites have been cast out, or killed if they had the temerity to stay and defend what they'd built up with their own sweat, blood, tears, and toil.

Many of them work the carnival/fair circuit in America to get away from their own country.

“when the reverse is the case in normal societies without wars.”

Therefore, there must be some kind of war going on. It doesn’t need to be a traditional war.

This week's Newsweek feature article by Scott Johnson , headlined "Fleeing from South Africa,' asks: ' Fourteen years after apartheid, why are the best and the brightest leaving Africa's most successful state?"

Maybe they want to live to celebrate their 30th birthday. Just a guess.

Hey I knew a number of South African families growing up in the 60’s. The exodus has been going on for a very long time.

I was there last year and the problems were not obvious to me. Of course I was traveling on business, attending events the entire time. I noticed anti-hijacking signs warning not to stop on the main roads in Jo’berg.

I thought Cape Town was a lovely place, just gorgeous. It is sad to imagine that it will all fail, but it seems to be headed that way.

When I was in New Zealand three years ago, I went to the Calvary Chapel service near Orewa (North of Auckland off of Highway 1). I met some of the people there. One younger gentleman I am hooked up through Facebook who is friends with another younger gentleman was around 22 years old. The other gentleman and his family left the RSA sue to the changes going on there.

Even though Apartheid was wrong, the process to integrate should have been done differently such as a ban on members of ANC from running for office or anyone connected with the communist Mandelas.

there now are many more older white men than younger ones - when the reverse is the case in normal societies without wars.

There are also more older white men than younger in Europe and the US, because of our embrace of abortion and anti-child policies.

Going the way of Rhodesia.

I am certain that it will be all lollypops, lemonade and kumbaya once Whitey has been purged from the continent and Africa’s wealth has been returned to its rightful owners. /s

Fourteen years after apartheid, why are the best and the brightest leaving Africa's most successful state?

Because the present success was due to the kinds of business activity and respect for private property that existed before the end of apartheid and represents the coasting toward a stop of a vehicle with the engine blown out and they can see the stop is Robert Mugabe's Zimbabwe.
