Dontcha think he put on the SOX hat to create a scapegoat for the boos. Why in the world would National League fans in Washington boo a ChiSox hat. There is no rivelry there. A Phillies or Mets hat would set them off, but White Sox? Might as well be the Toledo Mud Hens hat as far as a National League fans are concerned.

Did they ask him to name his favorite Athletic? But this doesn’t bug me, there’s too much else that does. Politicians have grafted on to sports teams to ingratiate themselves to the electorate.The most revolting example was 40 yrs ago. John Lindsay pretending to care that the Mets just won the Series. He was in a death struggle for reelection and showed up in the clubhouse after game 5. Lindsay couldn’t have named five players in the history of Organized baseball.
