Carlton Fisk, Frank “the Big Hurt” Thomas, Tom Seaver, Rich “Goose” Gossage – all names that any Chicago White Sox fan knows by heart. But today, while being interviewed by Washington Nationals booth announcers Bob Carpenter and Rob Dibble, President Barack Obama couldn’t muster up a single name.
The Commander-in-Chief, who has referred to himself a “White Sox kid” during the interview, was hard pressed to name a favorite player on a team that has been around since the late 19th century.
Obama went on to admit that growing up in Hawaii he was an Oakland Athletics fan and didn’t start to root for the White Sox until he got to Chicago and lived near the old Comiskey Park.

This reminds me of the old WWII movies where the German spy is found out because he can’t name the winner of the World Series.
He only wore the White Sox hat as cover for the boo’s—as instructed by Axelrod.
Any one have any stats on past presidents throwing out the first pitch, as far as what they wore? Is it “tradition” to wear the hat from your alleged home team?
He also pitched far wide to the left. The catcher was just able to catch it by lurching out past the hitters box.
No kidding. I remember a whole number of Dodgers from the 70’s and 80’s when I was a kid roaming Dodger Stadium...and he can’t remember one White Sox? what a phony.
It wasn’t just his response ... it was how he responded - uh, ah, hmmm, uh ... I really didn’t ... uh, ah, hmmm, uh,uh, uh .. have a ...uh, uh ... hmmm ... favorite ... uh ... player.
You could tell he was completely caught off guard, and had no where to hide.
Probably didn't get much news about the Sox in Kenya during the 60's

They should have asked him for his favorite Kenyan soccer club and Indonesian boxer.
Could you get White Sox games in Pokeestan, Kenya, and Indonesia?
One time he called it “Cominsky.” I have a feeling Zero never bought a paid admit to see the Sox play. His claim to be a fan was just a lie to serve up to his southsider voters.
Assume that everything he says is a lie until proven otherwise. You won’t be disappointed that way.
He (and his minions) lies even when the topic is so inconsequential...and as elPresidente you don’t just ‘pop’ into the broadcast booth. Couldn’t Rahmykins and he googled White Sox Team History and memorized something, anything about the team if they were going to push this charade of ‘AllAmericanBarrack.’

The very reason he wore a White Sox jersey was so his sycophants in the press could explain that it was his jersey that people were booing and jeering when he walked out to the mound, not his performance or policies. It was done for that reason alone....political cover.
