I read the whole thing...very interesting.

It brings Mena back into the news...

Mena was used to run drugs into with impunity back in the 70’s and 80’s...

The gold story makes me leary of buying gold, but also wanting to own it for protection for if/when the scam is revealed...

But buying small coins is expensive relative to the price per oz of gold.

Maybe old US silver coins would serve as a good alternative

goldbug ping

Comments at the linked article span the entire range of belief, from “Far too much wild-eyed conjecture here, and not enough evidence” and “too dumb to believe” to “Tyler has done an awesome job of bringing us the best”. I haven’t read it yet myself.

Mail me to get on or off the Goldbug Ping List.

Buying small quantities in any form is expensive. But if you are buying 20 ounces in any form, you are darn close to spot price, and coins are not suspect for the tungsten fraud like large bars might be.

Especially if you don’t have $10-20k to spend at the moment.
