IMO, paul is correct on his views of foreign policy, I am not sure why American taxpayers are providing for the defense of Germany and Japan and many others.

Considering how many lives were lost (and how much money spent) defeating fascism in Germany and Japan, I think maintaining a presence in their country is an investment in not having to do that again.
