Like dear old Dad always said, “Once the parasites outnumber the hosts, America is done.”

Well, when the host is done the parasites are, too. That's the funny thing about parasites. They'll weaken and make the host miserable, but they seldom kill it because it is their means of survival. See Frederic Bastiat's Spoliation by Law for a more accurate description than parasitism of the observed phenomenon of sponging/robbery/thievery.
