The Russians have a warrant for his arrest for tampering with their currency. Thanks in large part to the efforts of Soros, the Russian rouble tumbled to one-sixth of it’s value in 2000-2001. Soros, who sold the currency short, made countless billions.
In 2005, Russian authorities raided Soros’ offices in Moscow, arresting all functionaries. Unfortunately, Soros was in the States and could not be extradited.
Soros also trashed the French franc just before they went Euro. Soros made billions. The French were able to extradite him, but he only had to pay a multi-million-dollar fine. For Soros, this was a chump-change business expense.
If the Russians ever get him, he will do hard time in a Russian jail, or worse.
