Limbaugh responds to Obama: 'Never in my life have I seen a regime like this'
The Washington Examiner ^ | April 2, 2010 | By Byron York

Posted on 04/02/2010 7:22:47 AM PDT by MaestroLC

In his new interview with CBS, President Obama refers to the "troublesome" talk and "vitriol" of Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck. "Keep in mind that there have been periods in American history where this kind of vitriol comes out," Obama says. "It happens often when you've got an economy that is making people more anxious, and people are feeling like there is a lot of change that needs to take place. But that's not the vast majority of Americans. I think the vast majority of Americans know that we're trying hard, that I want what's best for the country."

I asked Limbaugh what he thought about the president's comments. His program's popularity is undeniably soaring now, but has it risen and fallen with economic anxiety -- that is, was he less popular during times of economic security and more popular in times of economic worries? Since Limbaugh has been broadcasting nationally for more than 20 years, there ought to be some sort of pattern, if what Obama says is accurate.

"I have yet to have a down year at the EIB Network," Limbaugh responds. "I and most Americans do not believe President Obama is trying to do what's best for the country. Never in my life have I seen a regime like this, governing against the will of the people, purposely. I have never seen the media so supportive of a regime amassing so much power. And I have never known as many people who literally fear for the future of the country."

The point, Limbaugh says, is not that listeners are feeling anxiety about the economy, although many undoubtedly are. It's that they are feeling anxiety about the Obama agenda.

I wish he'd tell us where he was for those several days. Some are speculating that he ran off and got married. Some are speculating that he scouted out a bug-out escape to New Zealand. As for Maja Rushie, he's not saying. Strange.

Got that right my friend. Ten years ago someone would tell me a Communist would be president I’d laugh and tell then no way , the citizens would riot before that would happen. Keep watching American Idol and hockey folks instead of educating yourselves and you neighbors. It’s almost too late to act and the nov elections will be WAY too late if you ask me.

In case you don't realise it, I am saying that Al capone was not right...Obama getting his way with violence, while spouting "be part of the team"...all the while appearing to dine and entertain his underlings...is WRONG...he is a thug! A profane thug.

This is what we need. More guys like this one:

I totally agree with you. What I fear is complacency and a lack of call to action on the part of the American people who believe in the Constitution, but have not been mentally or physically motivated to act when they see blatant tyranny happening. This is not the time for pity parties or “woe is me” laments. Accept that you will be fearful and have your doubts on various levels. Then get to work on making it happen.

I very much agree with you. November will be way to late. The unfortunate thing about despots or tyrants is that one has NEVER been removed peacefully anywhere in history. There is only one choice. Removal and housecleaning of the WhiteHouse must be physical. Elections are a lost cause if they even take place. I’ve been saying this since BEFORE Healthcare passed because I knew that they have NO respect for America, her people, rules, the Constitutuion, legalities, nothing. Obama will continue to march on with his ever increasing Socialism if not outright Communism unless and until the American people STOP HIM. jmo. CO

I'm in the "fear for the future of the country" camp...

Well, not "camp" - guess we should all try to stay away from that word...

He is great. Limbaugh. Always an inspiration to listen to on the radio and usually spot on.

And the others, too. You know their names. They have listeners and viewership into the millions and growing daily.

However, if they (the Obama Administration) insist on the course I believe truly they are plotting and taking, it will not surprise me if some kind of unconstitutional executive order in the defense of "national security" is somehow signed, and you hear of Limbaugh and others being arrested in the night.

It truly is coming folks.

a) Know WHAT and WHOM Obama is; and b) read between the lines of what he says and what his Administration is starting to subtly do now.

TV has become the opium of the masses, be it reality shows, televised sports or perfomance shows like DTWS.

If for some reason the electrical grid was sabotaged and there was no TV for an indefinite period, we’d see more people actually putting down their remotes and getting off the couch to do something about our shrinking freedoms.

Obama may needs not so much voted out of office as to be deposed.
