NASA Plans Big Boost To Climate Research Budget
Washington Post ^ | April 2, 2010 | Marc Kaufman

NASA officials laid out plans Wednesday to boost spending on climate research substantially over the next five years, to make up for cutbacks during the Bush administration.

Edward Weiler, the agency's associate administrator for science, said that NASA's Earth Science budget will get a $2.4 billion, or 62 percent, increase through 2015. By that point, the program will have launched as many as 10 new missions, collecting information about ocean temperatures, ice coverage, ozone depletion and the central question of how much carbon dioxide is being released through human activities.

The budget increase reflects both a campaign promise by President Obama to focus far more on the threat of climate change and what NASA officials called a "philosophical shift" on the issue. From now on, they said, the agency will place a higher priority on collecting a broad range of interrelated climate data and to make sure it is done in a long-term, continuous way.

What a lot of toadies - desperate for funding they are allowing themselves to join the Pseudoscience brigade.

Yeah, let’s now make NASA a hyper-partisan office. Let’s not focus on space exploration, let’s now focus on how we can do our part - on behalf of Obama - to further divide this country. Yeah, that’s the ticket!

Obama isnt hiding this one. It’s right out there in the open for anyone to see.

Obama takes away the Space Flight program and replaces it with golbal warming science.

Anyone want to guess on what NASA will find ?

Hopefully NASA can determine once and for all if climate change causes hemorrhoids.

Wonderful — from making Americans’ lives better through technological innovations to clamping down on them by making us responsible for ‘climate change’.

Sir, I know NASA, and this ain’t no NASA...

So we go from a a nation exploring the universe to one who supports a fraud. Grants for ideology.

I assume Obozo thinks this is the way to expand science and government at the same time ... There are some things man is not capable of understanding, and one would be earth’s climate. Our wonder if Obozo army of useless pet eaters know that.

Can’t they take all that money and feed to poor, provide homes for the homeless, give us all healthcare... and a little drug money on the side?

Well NASA was original run by toadies like Werhner Von Braun-I mean the man and his compatriots started with funding from the Nazi government .They were willing to build mass murder weapons as long as they were allowed to play with their rockets.

Not caring or disclaiming any responsibility for the engines of destruction one has made or made possible is intellectually dishonest

Government always seeks to grow through any means possible;it is the people who must restrain the monster.

I have been saying this for some time. There are 2 ways for NASA to keep it’s funds from getting slashed.

1) Convince Washington that their work will help stop Global Warming. or

2) Convince American Men that they found the planet with the Green Orion Slave Girls see on Star Trek.

Yo Obamatons!
We are getting our energy from Sun! It's output fluctuates with sunspot cycle.
Human contribution to climate change is as much as peeeing into the ocean and hoping to create a flood!!!
That hard to understand???? Need NASA to coverup?

Only funding from evil business produces biases results. Government is filled with honest and unbiased men and women only seeking truth and justice. Snark.
