When it comes to socially-conservative groups media outlets like to cover the scandals instead of the celebrations.
That's exactly what NBC did to the Boy Scouts of America which had its 100th anniversary Jan. 25. NBC "Nightly News" completely ignored the anniversary, but did remember to cover Bubble Wrap Appreciation Day during that broadcast.
But NBC will find time for scandal. On April 1, NBC's "Today" reported that the Boy Scouts are at the center of a $25 million lawsuit tied to an alleged cover-up of thousands of sexual abuse cases.
The same network that found the group so unimportant it couldn't even muster one word about their one-hundred year anniversary, found two minutes and twenty-seven seconds to spend on the abuse scandal.

There was some of this crap going on in the one of the scout troops in the little town I grew up in (Now a huge suburb).
None of the kids talked until years later though.
The Scouts have done a very good job of excluding pederasts from the Scouts, and a lot of this without exposing either the perps or their victims to the public gaze. Now the same legal vultures that have been preying on the Church have turned their hungry gaze on them.

The Scouts have taken great care to give the bums rush to these perverts. Do understand that the cops usually don’t want to touch these cases, because the perps are often well connected the community, but also because the families didn’t want the affairs dragged into the open.
They have improved in recent decades, but they did not always do a very good job at it.
Gay power play—again. They really know how to play this legal game. Wonder who is funding this?

The Boy Scouts finally had enough and barred homosexuals from leadership positions in Scouting, you don't send your 11-12 yr old sons into the woods with queers that are sexually attracted to them.
Well there was hell to pay but they stuck to their guns, took it all the way to the Supreme Court and won.
The same msm that publish stories like this are the same ones that decry the Scouts position of "excluding" homosexuals.
You don’t know half the story. This has been something that has been a problem since the movement started. Remember when the gays tried to force the Scouts to accept homosexual scoutmasters? Before they organized politically, they tried to act individually to get close to boys. Then an effective weapon was exposure. That was then.
About how things were 60 years ago?
Homosexuals did that long before the 60s.

Yeah, I think that in the 60’s they were told they were “normal” and should do whatever they could and it became more widespread.
They can’t reproduce so they have to recruit.
And why, one must ask? Is it because the Scouts won't admit open homosexuals? Because they emphasize morality? Because they help generation after generation of young men live moral lives?
Like the Catholic Church, another organization which will not yield to the gay agenda, the Scouts are under fire.
Might be a pattern there...
