Charleston, WV (LifeNews.com) -- Bart Stupak wasn't the only pro-life Democrat in Congress to support the pro-abortion health care bill after securing an executive order that both pro-life and pro-abortion groups called meaningless. Rep. Nick Rahall insisted Monday that he was right and Obama will stop abortion funding in the health care bill via the order.

After coming under fire from pro-life groups, Rahall had choice words for them in an interview with the Register-Herald newspaper.

“These political hacks are just living in la-la land, when they don't know what’s going on,” Rahall said.

Stupak and the others who played along with this “executive order” nonsense are the hacks. Just the insult to our intelligence is enough to want to see them gone in disgrace.

In so many words, this clown is admitting what unfortunately became obvious with the final vote: Stupak and this guy (and probably others) never intended to be the votes to defeat Obamacare. So, they were always bluffing, and their ‘negotiations’ for pro-life language were never anything but a charade that actually served to pass the monstrosity by providing ten or twelve votes on the first vote in the House.

While he’s slamming others is the press, he’s managed to show what a bungler, or idiot, or deceiver, or incompetent he and Stupak and that whole gang were.

Notice how these politicians always call their congress collegeaues “my friend”, “I have great respect for...” but when it comes to the American people, we are “political hacks”.

Not just the government trough though that does play a role but West Virginia is a traditionally conservative Democrat state. Rahall, Molohan, Rockefeller, and Byrd survive by playing on loyalty, pressing high profile coal mining legislation and then screwing their constitutes in the back rooms. West Virginia is going to replace at least one Senator with a Republican in the next 10 years. I suspect the current Governor Manchin who is fairly popular and fairly conservative may end up running for one of those seats. I wouldn’t be surprised though if he switches parties eventually. He really stands out like a sore thumb among liberals. We are going to pick up one or both of these congressional seats this time if we fund the candidates running. West Virginia has suffered when it should be thriving. People are waking up to that fact and the Democrats are really the only ones to blame in this case. One would have to be an idiot to not see the Democrats as hostile to WV coal. Obama also will play horribly in WV and if I were the candidates running I’d be running pictures of Obama loving it up with these congressmen.

They play games. At the end of the day they voted with the far left against their constitutes who are overwhelmingly against the bad bill. They are going to pay.

‘he will stop abortion funding’

Not that it’s not in the bill, but obama ‘will stop’...yeah, right.

All it will take to overturn the EO is one lawsuit from a woman who wants a publicly-funded prenatal homicide: a lawsuit for which, you may be sure, the plaintiff has already been recruited, the lawyers lined up, the briefs written and the judge bought.

But it does provide a figleaf for Obama--- even as he's high-fiving with Planned Parenthood: "I signed the EO! How could I tell it was going to be overturned?"

Stupak and Rahall KNOW this. Christ Almighty. It’s like getting an Executive Order from Colonel Sanders saying “I will not cut up chickens.”

So, the bottom line of what youre telling me is the voters in WV are stupid and/or asleep...right? Thats really how it sounds. I know its not very flattering but...

‘Obama also will play horribly in WV...’???? He isn’t already? I sure hope thats the case b/c speaking in the future tense sure is a puzzle.

What we see here is a representative who thinks he is smarter than those who put him in office and he can BS his way through by making claims that are baseless and false, knowing perfectly well than an executive order is worthless. Unfortunately I can’t cast a vote against him since I am not a resident of his state.

You don’t know the anguish and angst that I live with
being a Ronald Reagan Republican and having Rahall,
Mollohan, Byrd, and Rockefeller as my representatives.
We do have one lady, Capito. She is a good representative.
Historically, the labor unions, lead by their socialist
leaders won the information war and managed to tar all
Republicans as evil, greedy, etc. you know the drill.
Now that unionism is dying a slow death here in WV,
except for public sectors of course, West Virginians
are seeing that the group that best represents them is
the Republicans not the Demo’s. The Left has so pulled
their party so far left that we have had a sea change.
That is why McCain (even Milquetoast McCain) won WV
handily against Obama. That is one reason, Obama is
punishing WV, because of our election results.
My predictions : Rahall will lose his seat to a Repub.
Mollohan will also lose. Byrd will die in the Senate seat,
natural causes, and Joe Manchin will appoint himself, I
think it is legal in WV or put in a proxy to hold the
seat for him to take by full elections. Rockefeller,
his time in the Senate my be shortened by the Republican
takeover of both houses this Fall.
Amen, Amen.
