Not enough to have given him the election. White guilt is a powerful thing. I remember all my office coworkers, with minds full of mush, gathered around a television set to watch Obama's inauguration. They were enthralled that they had helped "make history". And it sure didn't help that the GOP put up the lamest candidate possible against Obama.
