I am out of the loop. Who is this Rev. Wallis character and why should I care? Does he have any real governing power? Or is he just a hack like Rev. Wright, Rev. Jackson, and Rev. Sharpton?

Absolutely correct! A hack posing as an "evangelical", in order to confuse people into thinking that 0bozo is a "Christian" which he is not. The Bible warns us to be vigilant about false teachers who pervert the gospel. That fits Wallis to a tee. He is a politically motivated, false teacher. There is no fruit of the Holy Spirit in this charlatan, no indication that he is born again.

Wallis is a Marxist who postures as a reverend and operated as the “values” czar for the Demoviks—he traces back to the halcyon days of Billy and Bernadine and is a fellow craftsman in the revolutionary Marxist “long march” strategy recommended to the Weather Underground by Castro (via Andropov and Mao). Part of that strategy was to someday prop up an acceptable black prez candidate who could shame whites into voting for him—advice given to Bernadine by Castro himself. Wallis too has been a devotee of the Marxist takeover of America since the 1960s.

In other words, an oldie-but-goodie in the pantheon of rat communist scumbags.

Wallis is Obozo’s spiritual advisor. They figured us “racists” wouldn’t notice that he’s a scumbag because he’s white.

The Gospel is all about the forcible redistribution of wealth at the hands of the government? Where does he see that in the Bible?

From Wiki

The Reverend Jim Wallis (b. June 4, 1948, Detroit, Michigan) is an evangelical Christian writer and political activist, best known as the founder and editor of Sojourners magazine, and of the Washington, D.C.-based Christian community of the same name.

Wallis actively eschews political labels, but his advocacy tends to focus on issues of peace and social justice, earning him his primary support from the religious left. Wallis is also known for his opposition to the religious right's fiscal and foreign policies.[1]

Speaking to a conference of clergy from the Anglican Diocese of Liverpool (The Hayes Conference Centre, Swanwick, Derbyshire, UK, 23 June 2009) Wallis said, "The press don't get it - they say, 'Have you replaced the religious right with the religious left?'" Rather, he says that his Christian commitment does not allow him to align with any political wing - on some issues, his views would be counted as coming from the left, on others, from the right. "Don't go left, don't go right: go deeper."

Wallis heads up the “Sojourners” movement which claims to be a Christian movement preaching a “revisionist” gospel. These are the same ideas that the current leadership in the Methodist, Lutheran, Presbyterian and Episcopal leadership have adopted causing their significant loss in membership. Sojourners work hard against traditional type Christianity, as I understand them.

Looking at Sojourners magazine it appears that Wallis wants to defund the military to save the economy.

No, I don't agree with you on that. I think that preachers in fact need to warn their flocks of sin & immorality & political issues from the pulpit. Why are they expected to remain mute when the liberal left wing media has free reign in spreading their propaganda & lies. They only reason that this so-called ruling against political speech from the pulpit is in place, is because Lyndon Johnson was incensed in his 1954 election for TX senator because conservative, born again churches were preaching against his liberalism & corruption. In the last election there were dozens of born again, evangelical preachers that did in fact preach against liberalism & socialism and the demoRAT party that espouses this.

Jim Wallis poses as an "evangelical" Christian, when in fact he is a solid communist & socialist. He has never espoused orthodox Christian Biblical values & principles. He is opposed to the Genesis account of creation, a world wide flood, the total depravity of mankind, the virgin birth of Christ, the bodily resurrection of Christ, the fact that believing in Christ is the only way for salvation & to go to heaven, and he mocks the teaching & belief of the end times. Other than his total rejection & unbelief of the Bible, I guess one could say he is an "evangelical" Christian. sarc/

I agree about warning the congregation of fakes/frauds who are posing to be one of them if they know. Why not warn the people about child molesters, and other such unsavery types, if known, too?

Yes, I absolutely agree with you on this. That is why I said in my prior posting.....
