AZ-Sen. 2010: McCain spends millions fighting primary challenge ($2.75M in 3 mos. attacking J.D.!)

John McCain spent more in the last three months than he did the entire 2004 cycle.

His campaign announced Wednesday that it raised $2.2 million this quarter and now has $4.5 million cash on hand. The Arizona senator came into 2010 with $5.05 million banked, which means he's spent $2.75 million in the last three months. In 2004, McCain ran unopposed in the GOP primary and spent $2.1 million defeating a poorly funded Democratic opponent in the general.

J.D. Hayworth, McCain's primary challenger, hasn't yet released his numbers but a spokesman said they were "pleased" with the figures.

I tend to agree with you. People are much more upset about the murder than the "leaders" can possibly know. There is something just so down to earth about those ranchers in that part of the country and everyone knows it.

People also know they have been begging for help for years and none has arrived.

Me too. My apam blocker apparently isn’t working as his sleazy emails keep coming. I responded to the first one ages ago with “JUST GO AWAY” (that was after the election/coup) but they still keep coming. The one from this morning was ‘urgent’ as the campaign “deadline” is midnight tonite.
