AZ-Sen. 2010: McCain spends millions fighting primary challenge ($2.75M in 3 mos. attacking J.D.!)
The Hill, Washington, DC ^ | 2010-03-31 | Sean J. Miller

John McCain spent more in the last three months than he did the entire 2004 cycle.

His campaign announced Wednesday that it raised $2.2 million this quarter and now has $4.5 million cash on hand. The Arizona senator came into 2010 with $5.05 million banked, which means he's spent $2.75 million in the last three months. In 2004, McCain ran unopposed in the GOP primary and spent $2.1 million defeating a poorly funded Democratic opponent in the general.

J.D. Hayworth, McCain's primary challenger, hasn't yet released his numbers but a spokesman said they were "pleased" with the figures.

And he’s only 7 points ahead of J.D., despite spending over $2.75 million in three months!

McCain is in trouble. LOTS of trouble.

Folks, conservatives MUST keep hammering away at McCain with no relent or let up! The time is here. McCain must go!

Hmm, where's McCain's money coming from? That might be an interesting donor list.

Heh! I love it, and he didn’t get anything for it either. JD is finally getting some ads out, but he’s going to have to be very careful with money. McCain has the big donors behind him and JD has all the rest of us. The nice thing about that is the big donors only have one vote just like the rest of us *grin*

Run him out of money early. Make his supporters spend their money too. I wonder if there are any legal attacks on campaign financing (meaning lawsuits) that might divert additional money and attention. He’ll use all of that and then some against a conservative opponent, may as well fight fire with fire.

Does it include Charles Keating, George Soros, and any members of the board of La Raza, ACORN, or the KLA?

McCain still has $20 million in his presidential fund. I don’t know if he can use that for his senate run or not, but it’s there and he’ll find a way to benefit from it.

The blood of that dead Arizona rancher is on McCain’s hands. As a Senator from a border state, he has been grossly negligent in his duty to protect the citizens of that State along with the citizens of the entire country. JD should wrap that tragedy around McCain and make him wear it all the way to primary day.

If Palin doesn’t distance her from this farce, and soon, she can kiss her future political ambitions goodbye.

It stands to good sense that immigration groups want mccain in office, so they will support him.

After that rancher was murdered, McCain needs to resign. He’s done his time and has worked for two terrible forces in politics.

I was just reading an article about McCain appearing in AZ.
He actually said this:

“President Reagan granted amnesty to two million people and that was wrong,” McCain said.
http://www.dcourier.com/main.asp?SectionID=1&SubSectionID=1&ArticleID=79030

I believe this senile, corrupt quisling will toss any of us under the bus, just like he just did Reagan. 2 million is wrong...but 20 million is fine???? But then, McLame insists he doesn’t want amnesty!

How does ANYONE support this man?

The tune is a knock off of the classic Frankie and Johnnie song. Here are the words.

FLUSH THE JOHN!

Johnny and Teddy were Senators
On opposite sides of the aisle
They got together and drafted a bill
Guaranteed to make illegals smile
Amnesty was their game – and they had no shame

Johnny and Senator Feingold
Gave campaign finance a try
But then the highest court in the land
Said the 1st amendment must apply
Gotta play by the rules – now Johnny looks like a fool

Johnny and Mr. Obama
They both agree Gitmo should close
But bringing terrorists into the USA
Is a plan that we oppose
No, they don’t belong – and Johnny’s got it all wrong

Now Johnny and Senator Lieberman
Got together on cap and trade
Anemic hands across the aisle
Gonna send the country to its grave
It’s time to let him know – old Johnny’s gotta go

Johnny believes Global Warming
Limousine Liberals and all
Congressional junkets to Copenhagen
Everybody’s havin’ a ball
Just ask Al Gore - Johnny knows the score

S & L Man Charlie Keating
He came to Johnny one day
Said “the government boys are sniffing around
How much to make ‘em go away?”
Did Johnny take a bribe to join the Keating 5?

Now fast-forward 20 years later
Banks are in trouble again
Johnny says, “Let’s bail ‘em out
It’s just a trillion – or maybe ten.
Let’s put some wind in their sails – ‘cause they’re too big to fail.”

We know there’s oil in Alaska
Drilling won’t cause any harm
But Johnny agrees with the tree-hugging geeks
Gas is gonna cost a leg and an arm
Johnny why can’t you see what’s good for you and me?

Now everyone knows about ACORN
They get lots of taxpayers’ dough
Prostitution rings and voter fraud
And home loans to any old schmoe
No matter ACORN’s crimes – Johnny thinks they’re just fine

We’re tired of hearin’ your flip-flops
We’re tired of hearin’ your lies
You may think we’re all dummies but you can’t
Pull the wool over our eyes
You’re career’s hit a snag - so start packin’ your bags

‘Cause Johnny, you’ve worn out your welcome
It’s time to bid DC goodbye
Go write a book or learn to cook
And eat a little humble pie
Just ask Sheriff Joe – he says you gotta go

Yeah, go Johnny, go – it’s time to hit the road.
Good-bye

McCain is a despicable person. McCain-Feingold helped the Dems gain control over America.

McCain is trojan horse for Democrats.

He did half-author a bill quenching the First Amendment as far as campaign donations go.

POS McCain supposedly held over $22 million in 2008 money from the POTUS race. He is a POS cause I sadly sent the loser money. He sat on it because he was taking a dive for Soros.

And he’s only 7 points ahead of J.D

That poll came out before Rob Krentz was murdered.

McAmnesty is in full tilt damage control mode right now trying to portray himself as shocked, just shocked that such a terrible thing could happen.

I'd bet he's about even with Hayworth right now.

His radio adverts are mean and nasty and counterproductive. Emblematic of McCain himself.
