I have some good news, and some not so good news for you all. First, the not so good news. I am so sorry to inform you, my loyal listeners and friends, that, as of this morning at 8:30, I am no longer employed by WTIC 1080. Over the course of four months, we were unable to reach an agreement on a new contract. I want you to know I would never think of leaving you without saying good bye, especially in turbulent times like this, but the station made the decision to keep me off the air for the final day of my contract. So this will have to be my way of saying thank you. You are the most loyal and as the SOS says, brightest, well informed audience that any talker could have.

Hope you are right about DRC.
I am worried that Jim’s health will worsen during this stressful time.
I agree, but Brad Davis has no plans to retire as far as I know... (?)
I know for a fact that many of Brad's listeners were also Jim V's listeners. The ones I know do NOT want to get involved with blogtalk radio, online streaming, Twitter, etc.
Getting more done though.
LOL. I will be getting more done once I sever myself from Jim's chat room. His chat room is lots of fun, but I don't have the luxury of sitting at the computer "chatting" every morning just to hear Jim.
That's the problem for me... 99% of the time I have an old-fashioned RADIO going on in the background, while I'm doing stuff. Plus we can easily listen to the radio in the car. This Blogtalk radio format will NOT work for me nor for my husband (and many other Vicevich fans I know).
I pray for Jim's health all the time... I hope and pray he stays well.
From what I saw on in the chat room today and last Thursday (Jim was in his chat room via video camera), Jim looked great and sounded like he was "at the top of his game". I'm SO happy for him.
Just wish we could hear him as usual on the radio, 9am - 12 noon, M-F... :-(
Joe D. is fine as a sports guy, but I don't want to hear him whine about politics and "civility" for 3 hours a day (even 1 or 2 hours!). What I heard of "Joe D's show" today was horrible.
Unless Jim returns to AM/FM radio somehow, we in CT are going to be worse for it. In a way Jim was sort of our Tea Party "leader" here in CT, or at least a central place in which to discuss issues dear to Tea Partiers.
That's all gone now, and no "blogtalk radio" internet radio show is going to be the same. I predict Jim will retain less than a third of his listeners if he continues his show via some vague blogtalk radio format vs an old-fashioned radio show.
