Correction: a PRO-communist, pro-North Vietnamese group who wanted the North Vietnamese communists to win the war
A vital distinction that should never be overlooked. The Left POSTURES as anti-war but is merely anti-America. War, in fact (depite the bumper sticker), has very often BEEN the “answer” for the likes of Dohrn, Ayers, Rudd—all of whom were/are agents of Castro/KGB/Andropov. They traded handsomely on war to give their propaganda a rallying point by which many useful idiots on campuses and elsewhere were seduced to their side.
If there is any plausible reason for inviting Ayers anywhere, it would be to grill him and Dohrn about their past links to Moscow and Havana and the advice Dohrn herself received from Castro in the 1970s—about identifying a black personality who could be gussied up for mainstream acceptance as a presidential candidate and then who could trade on liberal guilt to achieve power.
They are fully in favor of war and violence if it means advancing the communist agenda. They worship people like Che, Castro, Mao and even Stalin. Hard to be “anti-war” when these blood thirsty monsters are your heroes.
