VAN SUSTEREN: Governor Palin, if you were vice president today, what would you be telling a President McCain about what to do about immigration, if anything?
PALIN: I support his position on immigration. It all comes down to securing the border. And he who has actually proposed some solutions, the Obama administration does not want to listen to Senator McCain or any other Republican, and that, of course, leads to a greater problem that we have in Washington, D.C. And it's that lack of the new administration's ability and enthusiasm for listening to those on the other side of the aisle who have some good solutions that they want considered.

Because he's a traitorous *ussy and he said he needs another Republican to sign-on with him but he can't find one.
Thanks!
Biden just looks so happy....sitting next to Palin...LOL
But I thought you said
No Republican is going to be for amnesty this election year. Not even Lindsey Graham.
yet you claim that Lindsey Graham is a Republican.
Perhaps you would like the opportunity to qualify your statements?
No wonder you can't get his poll numbers over 1%.
She has been asked about illegal immigration 6 times on six major conservative talk shows. She parsed and equivocated on every one of them.
There is a more humane way to treat them. If they cant follow the rules, they should leave
H U H??
WTF??
Another one....
I am against the DEMOCRAT amnesty.
Uh huh....what about the McCain REPUBLICAN amnesty?
Just like Bill Clinton.
Rush’s interview was the more recent.
Rush would not support her, were she for amnesty and other muddled forms of amnesty.
Hell, I wouldn’t either!
The governors with the solutions she says need to be listened to are all amnesty princesses. Perry, Richardson, Arnold, etc.
THAT is amnesty.
He has thrown it the Obama to come up with legislation, according to his appearance on MTP this past Sunday. Search for a transcript of it, if you’re interested.
Post #57 on the FR thread I posted the link to. Didn’t look far, did you?
McCain, if re-elected will be a co-sponsor, guaranteed.
I posted Sarah Palin's direct words, with a verifiable and credible source.
Are you suggesting that they are "dishonest and divisive"?
The perfect candidate does not exist. Even Reagan wasn't perfect, although he got closer than anybody since. We must do a better job getting good candidates, who get as close as possible to that perfect status, into general elections. Take control of primaries and such. Support those candidates who best reflect conservative values, and then hold them to those standards if they get elected.
For too long, the GOP has taken conservatives for granted, happily taking their money while ignoring the requests for conservatism, thinking that we wouldn't abandon them anyway. They've put up Republicans who simply weren't conservative. As a result, the House and Senate were lost in 2006 and in 2008 the margin got widened even more when Obamania swept in a lot more Dems. Had the Republicans shown more conservatives principles, the losses in 2006 might not have been as severe, and there might not have been a supermajority in the Senate, to pass Obamacare.
I don't believe in calling somebody a RINO any longer, because as a whole, the Republican party hasn't been conservative. Who we call RINOs are really par for the course of the modern day GOP. They are CINOs, Conservatives In Name Only. Only now Steele and ilk are sending out a conservative message, to once again appeal to our wallets.
I know full well about the Graham-Schumer amnesty bill, since I've been reading a lot about it lately. I also know full well that McCain is using Graham as his proxy leading up to the November elections and that McCain has not genuinely changed his stance on immigration otherwise.
John McCain's current (reelection) year position on illegal immigration:
John McCain is committed to securing our borders. A secure border is an essential element of our national security and the economic well-being of Arizona and its citizens. With Phoenix ranking second only to Mexico City for the largest number of kidnappings for any city in the world, the recent outbreak in violence on our southern border demands immediate action.
We can further strengthen our border security if we pursue policies that recognize the importance of building strong allies in Mexico and Latin America who support freedom and democracy and seek strong domestic economies with abundant opportunities for their citizens.
John McCain does not support amnesty and believes that we should not reward lawbreakers. Any measure designed to fix the broken immigration system must deal with the undocumented population, and as we all know, this is very difficult challenge that attracts a wide range of diverse views and opinions. We need a practical solution for dealing with undocumented immigrants currently living and working in our country and that solution must be carried out in a manner that fosters the social, economic, and security interest of the United States.
I would supply the link to this but I'm not going to promote McNut's website. It's bad enough I had to go to his website to get it.
Now, given Sarah's Dec. 2009 anti amnesty statements on Lars Larson and given Sarah's warning last week on FOX about the Democrats and what they will do about amnesty, does anybody still want to say that Sarah is definitely for amnesty??
That's dishonest and typical of you.
It's also dishonest as Hell to ignore the many, many statements she has against illegal immigration.
It's a willful distortion of what she claims to stand for, and typical of Ron Paul's juvenile followers.
Now if an illegal makes it over the first fence, escapes the lions, tigers, cougars, bobcats and ocelots, makes it over the second fence, negotiates the minefield while under sniper fire, picks up the flags, throws the Mexican flag down on the doormat and wipes his feet on it, takes the bullhorn and sings the Star Bangled Banner while enthusiastically waving the American flag, oh what the hell, he can stay.
I wasn’t reading the posts, just the article. The article was what I was commenting on, and no I didn’t read the posts. Now it’s on this thread pertaining to what she just said recently. Which one seems to be closer to what she’s saying now?
McCain and his vague, ambiguous, trite statements are full of sh*t, and you know it.
“Biden just looks so happy....sitting next to Palin...LOL”
I’d be smiling till the corners of my mouth touched in the back of my head too!
That is a great graphic!
