PERFECT COMMENT!!! I can’t understand how Dems (during the HC debates) offered the argument “People opposed the Social Security legislation put through by FDR too”...as if SS/Medicare are great programs to be proud of. THEY BOTH SUCK, and provide great examples of why the gov’t needs to stay OUT of healthcare.
If I was allowed to put all my SS tax money into my 401k, I’d have over a million now.
My ex (died at age 68) had nothing in the bank but there were thousands in his SS acct....but the kids got zip. No medical bills as he died on the golf course and the kids had to pick up the tag.
As far as I'm concerned, they were robbed via the SS system.
