Desperate Democrats and their co-conspirators in the media are busy trying to whip up a race war.
"The health care bill is not the main source of this anger and never has been. It's merely a handy excuse," Frank Rich wrote in a recent New York Times column. Their line is that all those opposed to the president's radical agenda are racists who resent having a black man as president. It is a moldy, old smear, but as approval ratings for Mr. Obama sink below 50 percent, it is being revisited with increasing fervor.

Race plays a much stronger role in the liberal mindset than for most of America. Mr. Obama and many liberals of his generation grew up being taught that America is at root a deeply flawed country, and it is their mission to "fix" it. Those pushing the "racism" argument to explain the strong opposition to Mr. Obama's policies do so because they can't escape looking at issues through a racial prism. As America has become post-racial, they are intellectually and emotionally stuck in the 1960s. So they recycle images half-a-century old and wait, forlornly, for a random lynching to justify their worldview.
There is much to dislike about Mr. Obama's America: high unemployment, monstrous record debt, economic sluggishness, a terrible health care law, higher taxes, a rigged census, fast-tracking illegal aliens to the franchise, growing government at home and increasing weakness abroad. It is not mean-spirited racism to take a stand against the daily destruction of the American dream; it is simple common sense.

I was just educating a liberal on another board to this fact.
The new definition of a racist is "anyone who doesn't agree with a liberal"... And I'm a racist...
That is GOOD!
Thanks!
Fraid So! It even turned off folks in Massachusetts. He is alienating vast numbers of voters with it. It is really petty and disgusting and the press only propagate it in an attempt to save their sorry hides. The only trouble is that we see right through it for what it is; an attempt to manipulate us rather than to persuade us.
The press has no clue on this matter either. They are hemorrhaging readers and viewers constantly with no clue at all.
The left's fantasies about the right never require validation by external reality. Facts that don't fit the template are simply discarded.
I don't think so; he certainly looks white in this picture...

Among people who attend church weekly, Mr. Obama’s support has dropped from a high of 60 percent in January 2009 to 41 percent, and affinity for Mr. Obama has fallen in double digits among religious denominations across the board. An exception is the “None/Atheist/Agnostic” category, in which Mr. Obama enjoys 67 percent support. He is also highly supported by those with graduate degrees, young people, single people, poor people and blacks.
(yes, the godless stil love Obama!)

Yes, it is NOT a RACE ISSUE as they will try and make this out to be.
The only black people I don’t like are the ones that bitch about racism all the time. And even then it is because they are so damned bitchy than because they are black.
It’s because they can’t see any flaw in their political opinions and theories. This is a narcissistic attack at the root because there surely can’t be anything wrong with their IDEAS. It MUST be because the people who disagree with them are _______! (racist, homophobic, etc...)
I never really understood how conservatives can have liberal friends. I guess that some other commonalities transcend political philosophy. But, I prefer to spend my free time with other conservatives as opposed to liberals as I don’t have to tolerate their phoney indignation when I say something that both I and they know is true. (Political incorrect as they would define)
Obama knows that he tricked many of the people who voted for him and that it was only a matter of time before he was revealed as the thuggish, commie low-life POS that he is.
I’ve written several times that the swing vote that gave Obama the win was the white guilt vote, those guilt-ridden white folks among the large group in the middle that move back and forth between the two parties’ presidential candidates. Now that those independent or moderate white voters are realizing what Obama really intends, their guilt is lifting and Obama’s support is dwindling.
This trend needs to continue and grow even more.
I can't disagree, but I'll recognize that some of the libs blinded by their elitism see things only through the prism of race. Therefore they are the very thing they profess to detest.
Amen to that.
I, too, begrudgingly voted for Juan as the lesser of two evils.
I can understand but can not excuse their “lack of enthusiasm”.
This is *America* we’re talking about; not American Idol.
“Lack of enthusiasm” isn’t worth diddly-squat when your country is being slowly and surely strangled to death.
I never really understood how conservatives can have liberal friends
You can pick your nise, but you can not pick your familly.
Many people know liberals as family members/friends,but not might otherwise associate
Obama and his ilk are doing their best to divide us into groups so they can pit us against one another: black vs white, rich vs poor, those with health care vs those without it. The more groups and classifications they can create the more strife and the more reason for them to step in and “fix it.” Divide and conquer, plain and simple.
my wife works in an envirnoment populated by leftists and we naturally hang out with some of them. It has been interesting to watch their view change from unabashed enthusiam for Obama’s election, to a grudging realization that they may have way overestimated his centrist campaign promises. Liberals are a funny buch, they are all for equality until it starts to bite their pocketbook in the way of higher taxes.
When I saw a couple of them last week I made sure to remind them that next year Obama’s flex plan limits go into effect. Next year the max is $2500 and no prescription medications can be purchased with flex money. They asked me where I heard that and I told em I would forward the section of the health care plan to them via email. I have not heard from either of them since I sent them the info.
It’s not a matter of black or white but of gray - gray matter, that is. And I do not like what goes on in the gray matter between President Obama’s ears. Just like I did not like the gray matter of John Kerry, Al Gore, Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton, et al.
I was not refering to family. The prior post specifically stated “liberal friends”. The distinction is critical.
Although, I do feel sorry for those conservatives married to liberals. (Truely mixed marriage)
