A Canadian commercial income tax preparation service in Vancouver was tidying up Monday after an enraged customer caused more than $10,000 damage.
Constable Lindsey Houghton told reporters the unidentified 52-year-old man showed up at the business Sunday afternoon claiming the company had made a mistake on a past income tax filing, although at a different location.
He was apparently unhappy with the staff's response to his complaint and began throwing furniture around the office, The (Vancouver) Province said.
He then began sliding his arms across desks, sending computers and monitors crashing to the floor, Houghton said.
As police officers arrived to arrest the man, they saw him trying to use an interior stand-up sign to smash the front window, the report said.
"Everyone would agree that income tax time can be stressful," Houghton said.

He was apparently unhappy with the staff's response to his complaint... Interesting. I wonder what that response was. It would've made more sense to react this way at the government office responsible for revenue collection. I'm pretty certain what their response could've been.

Sounds like my wife at tax time, which is why the dogs and I stay out of the den until she's done filling out our returns.

I’ve wanted to do that at our local Dept of Motor Vehicles quite a few times! Now I renew by mail and I have found another DMV that doesn’t give me a hassle when I renew.

Re post 2, it is about $9,900 today. Could be over $10,000 by Tuesday at this rate. Obamacare is kicking in.

Whoa, like I said, it’s Tuesday and $10,000 CDN is worth $10,000 US. If you started drilling for oil all over, your dollar would fly, but that’s not what Hussein wants.
