I’m in. Get well soon, Jeff!
Jeff Head is one of the real good guys!
Hey man, nice shot. :)
bump ...
Jeff has always been a square shooter no matter the topic. I am fortunate to be in a position that allowed me to donate a pay periods worth of annual leave. My job with the Army is being abolished due to BRAC so the use or lose rules concerning annual leave do not apply to me. I have been accumulating my excess leave for the past four years so had enough banked for a rainy day that I could make this donation as I know Jeff would do the same for me or any other person in need.
~~Pinging for prayers and provision for a wonderful FReeper, Jeff Head.
Lord, have mercy and Your bounty at hand when needed for Your devoted son.
What a generous heart you have! FReepers are the greatest! It does my heart good just to read about all the kindness and love extended by the people on this forum. God bless you.
Here's an excerpt of DollyCali's message at the top of this thread:
Jim Robinson, the owner of FreeRepublic has graciously approved this Fund Raiser and Leave Donation thread that a number of us wanted to put together for well-known Freeper, and our friend, Jeff Head. (Moderators, please consider keeping this thread at the top of its category until the goals are reached.)
In December 2009 Jeff was diagnosed with bone cancer. A rare sacral chordoma was found on his sarcum. His only medical recourse is very major and dangerous surgery to completely remove his sacrum and then rebuild the structure. The two surgeries necessary are currently scheduled for April 27th and April 30th, 2010. This surgery will require a four month period of hospital stay, recovery, rehabilitation, and radiation at the MD Anderson Medical Center in Houston, Texas, which is 2000 miles away from Jeff's home in Idaho.
Any freeper who can, and who will not themselves be put out either financially or from a leave basis by so doing, is aksed to consider donating so as to help Freeper Jeff Head through this crisis. Your faith and prayers on behalf of Jeff and his family are also requested. There are two ways to help, monetarily and with leave. will track the donations here on this thread against the goals.
Holy and Righteous God,
Thank You for the wonderful healing that You provide for Your servant Jeff. Your grace and loving care are beautiful reminders to us all that You love Your children and that You never leave nor forsake them. Thank You for being with Jeff and his family in their time of need. Father, may Your Name be glorified as people come together to pray for him, to share their funds and sick leave with him, and to cheer for him as he stands believing in Your awesome power. We exalt You, Father, as we unite as a body of believers on Jeff’s behalf. And may You receive all the praise, honor, and glory. In the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
God bless you,Jeff...

Prayers for Jeff. Loving Savior, please help him!
Continued prayers.
Dearest Jeff. A check for you will go out in tomorrow’s morning mail to the address in Idaho.
My prayers for you continue in earnest. Your bravery and wonderful spirit are humbling.
Jeff a little PayPal donation is on its way along with our prayers.
I will put you on the Prayer list at our church.
Get Well!
Best regards
Dave
Hey Jeff, the out of agency donation process took a while but I heard today that my 78 hours are now your 78 hours. It’s all I can donate at my level. If I could give you the other 80 or so use or lose, you could have that, too. Fight.
I couldn’t give much, but every little bit helps. If a thousand FReepers give a little, that could help ALOT.
I am in the same boat, so I donated what I could, once I found the right link....and, posted it.
And thank you for that. I posted it on 2 other threads. We have to get the word out! FReepers are generous folks, once they know what the need is.
May you have a full and speedy recovery!!
