Massive Federal Raid in Lenawee County

ADRIAN, Mich. (WXYZ) - The FBI, the Department of Homeland Security and the Joint Terrorism Task Force are all involved in raids around Adrian that may be connected to a religious militia group.

The FBI conducted multiple raids throughout Saturday and into Sunday, with one of them centered on a property where known members of a militia live. The land is owned by a man who lives in a house on the property. His sons live in two mobile homes that are also on the property. Saturday's raids were concentrated on those mobile homes.

Helicopters were spotted in the sky for much of the night, and agents set up checkpoints throughout the area, including in Sand Creek and Clayton in Lenawee County. Witnesses tell Action News that it was like a small army had descended on the area.

A command center, including two satellite trucks and a radio tower, had been set up at the Washtenaw County Sheriff's Department in Ann Arbor. It has since been dismantled.

Sunday, authorities also blocked off roads in Dover Township, while they gathered evidence from a home.

Michael Lackomar is a member of the Michigan militia, which was not part of the raids.

Lackomar told Action News the group that is being targeted is an extremist religious militia.

There’s no such thing as a moderate muslim. Islam is a violent political ideology with its own set of laws and court system. Religion is only one component used to impose islam on non muslim societies. Islam is anathema to the U.S. Constitution. The two cannot co-exist in the U.S.

The media certainly knows how to yank some strings. There is no such animal as “islamic descent” and the vast majority of people of middle eastern descent in Michigan are Christian. That’s like saying I’m of nazi descent because of my German heritage.

The Michigan Militia has been around for decades and is in no way shape or form “islamic”. The media accidently told you that the Michigan Militia isn’t racist and you’re latching onto their poor (or deliberate) choice of words.

This Hutaree group on the other hand is far more suspicious. If you’re being raided by the FBI, why would you run to another militia compound with the FBI hot on your tail? Sounds like a set up to me. Also, how does this Hutaree member make a phone call in the middle of an FBI raid?

Some of these Hutaree guys may be OK but I suspect that over time we’ll find that that had a serious federal infection. I suspect that the raid was the bait and the other two longstanding Militia groups didn’t take it. (The feds failed)

Well, I never referenced 'Islamic descent' and poster offered they were being treated 'as if religion were now a race'. Did offer that the largest Muslim constituency is in Michigan and John Conyers is their Congressman. For certain; they are being served well; and were duly notified of 'threat' in their midst.

Regardless of details; they have just been gifted with another recruitment tool that works well in Obama's hands as well. So they hope; anyway.

I'm not sure what John Conyers constituency has to do with the Adrian area. His district does have the heaviest concentration of muslims but this is the 7th district which is traditionally very conservative. (we're the home of Hillsdale college)


Michigan is not overrun by muslims nor is the entire state Detroit.

Regardless of details; they have just been gifted with another recruitment tool that works well in Obama's hands as well. So they hope; anyway.

Can't disagree with you there which also makes me wonder how many Hutaree members are feds. The Michigan Militia on the other hand has been around for decades and have built a great deal of trust in this area despite media hype. If they say there was a problem with the Hutaree group, I'm inclined to believe them.

This was first reported with Islamic references including the Militia's being paranoid about Muslims. Given that they are in 'their midst' it would seem - form militia'a point of view - at least a reasonable paranoia; from their perspective.

They are now reporting another story altogether, re it was their intent to 'kill policeman' and by extension their families/friends as mourners when they show up for their funerals.

The entire unfolding seems over the top; so guess we will have to wait and see which is the more extreme here. The militia; or the response to it.

Muslims aside; can only observe that the timing of this seems just a bit suspect. . .given the desperate attempts/need/efforts thus far, for this Administration to isolate their targets and demonize all those on the Right; by WHATever associations they can manipulate.

I’m not so sure that He is meant to be just “part-time” as the Prince of Peace.

Are you saying that the bible says that at first, he wasn’t (Jesus, turning the tables) then he was (as risen), then he won’t be again (”Vengeance and Judgement”) but then resumes his work as the Prince of Peace again? That sure sounds like part-time to me. Especially if it’s all meant to run in perpetude as a God + Man-driven cycle.

Perhaps it is possible for good and evil to co-exist within the same human, heavenly, or devilish body.

It isn't a matter of good or evil, it's a matter of purpose and message. Turning over tables of people who are perverting something holy by selling prostitutes in the house of His Father isn't what most people would consider 'evil'. He wasn't peaceful or 'good' "as risen", He was peaceful and preached peace during His 33 years on earth as an example to *us* for how *we* are supposed to behave, not to define Himself. He fulfilled that role and ended that age. He came and gave everyone the message, and it's up to them what they do with it. At the end of this age He will be the one to judge what everyone has done with His message and how they have treated His followers (i.e. vengeance for martyrs - hence my tag line)
