Palin is helping McCain. Doesn't make her a rino anymore than Reagan was a rino when he helped rino's in 78. Yes , he did.
Anyway , would you rather have Mitt , Huck or Pawlenty? Your choices are probally down to the four or you can sit out again and help that pig Obama get another term.
Forget about crossing your fingers for some fantasy of another canidate emerging from somewhere else to save the day. If you do not have a pac raising money now and are active by campaigning and collecting you I.O.U's , then you will be too far behind to mount a serious run later. Only four republicans are this far in the process.
Another point to think about , Palin probally did this as part of a larger strategy. To middle America , people who don't identify strictly to party or ideology but usually decide the election , seeing Palin and McCain together was a nice contrast to Obama and Pelosi and a lot of them voted for Obama have huge regrets and after seeing Palin and Mccain together , wished they had voted the other way. I am talking about Reagan democrats who voted for Perot and have been the swing vote that decides elections.
I wouldn't be surprised if Jim or the Mods do.
Jim has made his distaste for both of those politicians and their worshipers known on several occasions.
I, as well as several others, know who some of them are simply from having seen their posts and subsequent arguments on various threads.
Matter of fact, no one has named a single RINO Reagan campaigned for, let alone against a solid conservative. That was the original statement.
Picking a running mate is often a very different matter, and he was not yet strong enough in the party to dictate everything in 1980. Many believe picking GHWB was Reagan's worst mistake, and planted the seeds for the undoing of much of the advancements made by conservatism during his presidency.
Who endorses who means nothing to me, not really. Sarah should have just endorsed Barney for all I care. That is why Palin endorses McCain. The struggle is who the GOP allows to be our RINO running against Obozo.
On the campaign trail they will all, including Sarah, talk the talk to win the base. As long as the gullible conservatives buy it
I still won’t vote for Obama, got it?
I am also very curious as to who turned your world upside down, 'Gunner. I've known you for a few years and have seen you deal with a couple of tough challenges, but have never noticed your world being turned upside down.
I’d like to have a list. It’s pointless to argue with them, and I’d like to see their duplicitous asses exposed.
You might ask Jim or the Mods.
That's the spirit! < /sarc>
I suggest listening to this: Don't Give Up! Don't Ever Give Up!
It’s the same old crowd of so-called “purists” you see wringing their hands on similar threads, though. Most of them are devoted Mittbots and Paulbots and are not really on the side of conservatism.
Judging by your posts...you would not know what a real conservative is if it hit you in the arse.
The majority of people who are calling out Sarah for being a RINO are real conservatives...not MittBots, paulBots...or whatever bots.
Sarah Palin supports a candidate that is pro-illegal, pro-terrorist, pro-Global Warming, pro-Soros, anti-free speech, anti-conservative....and wants to seize vitamins.....Sarah Palin supports this over a conservative candidate.
I mean that it doesn’t really matter who the GOP puts out there for us to vote for in 2008.
I still won’t vote for Obama.
I'm still waiting for clarification.
Or are you just making stuff up?
And you post that to Allegra?
BWAAAHAAAHAAHAAAHAAAAAA!
You ignorant muggle! You make me laugh, and that's rare.
Congratulations on your supreme mastery of ignorance.
Yours is a recipe for defeat.
Go JD and then Go Sarah!
Gotcha and with you on that one!
Yeah, tried and true - a recipe for defeat. Nice going on your reality based thinking./s
By the way, Reagan could have selected Jack Kemp as his running mate in '80, and would have done so by acclamation. He chose to "unite" the party with his selection of Bush.
