Updated: Obama Didn't Walk Out on Netanyahu to Go Eat With His Family 3/26/10 at 09:35 AM Comment 163Comment 163Comments Photo: Olivier Fitoussi-pool/Getty Images
It was an ominous signal when the White House didn't provide photos or briefings after the much-anticipated meeting between President Obama and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu earlier this week. After Joe Biden was blindsided by a surprise Israeli announcement of a new East Jerusalem housing project a couple of weeks earlier, the Obama administration was clearly sending a message of extreme displeasure. Now we know just how frosty that meeting really was:
[Obama] immediately presented Mr. Netanyahu with a list of 13 demands designed both to the end the feud with his administration and to build Palestinian confidence ahead of the resumption of peace talks. Key among those demands was a previously-made call to halt all new settlement construction in east Jerusalem.
When the Israeli prime minister stalled, Mr Obama rose from his seat declaring: "I'm going to the residential wing to have dinner with Michelle and the girls."
As he left, Mr Netanyahu was told to consider the error of his ways. "I'm still around," Mr Obama is quoted by Israel's Yediot Ahronot newspaper as having said. "Let me know if there is anything new."
Obama didn't even offer a half-assed, insincere invitation for Netanyahu to join him you know, "I'm going to go eat dinner with my family. You don't want to join, do you? It's probably not your type of food. If you want to just relax in here that's totally fine. You look comfortable." That's when you know relations have really become strained.
Obama snubbed Netanyahu for dinner with Michelle and the girls, Israelis claim [Telegraph UK]
Update: Despite reports that Obama left his meeting with Netanyahu to eat dinner with his family, and others that claim Obama left the meeting to put his daughters to bed, the White House points out to us that such scenarios are impossible, since Michelle, Sasha, and Malia Obama were in New York City that night.
So. Maybe it was "date night" for the Obamas.
LIES
It wouldn’t have been Presidential to bow to Mecca in front of the Prime Minister of Israel.
Look folks, POTUS Obama dislikes, if not hates Israel immensely. Spending twenty years worshipping the America hating, Jewish hating, Reverand Jeremiah Wright has developed Obama into a Jeremiah Wright lock-step believer. You know the old saying, “the acorn does not fall far from the tree”. And, for all we know, POTUS Obama is a closet Muslim at best.
Try backing off from this, Obambi. Your sh#t don’t stink but one day you’re gonna walk right into it.
Who did O go to eat with....Van Jones, Bill Ayers and Andy Stern?

Someone was or is lying, either way, it’s not
how you deal with allies.
Sounds like it might be worthwhile to file an FOIA request in the near future for evidence of the Obamas reimbursing the taxpayers for the cost of that trip.
Or at least for some reporters to start asking for details of their trip, including questions about reimbursement.
Protectionist mode on.......
Doesn't mean that Zero knew where they were!
“The ACORN doesn’t fall far from the tree.” My friend, that was the perfect pun. lol
Well all that proves is that he lied about where he was going or why he was leaving. It doesn’t prove he didn’t go...evidently there were several witnesses to the “scene.”
regardless of ‘where’ they were; offering that he left to put daughters to bed is unfrickenly bizarre. Is this image of Obamapapa, favorable to excurciatingly poor and insulting protocol?
He went to inhale what Bilk Linton “didn’t”.
Exactly.
