“Crist is a RINO. Before you tell us to leave because we are for Rubio, if the founders of Free Republic decide Crist supporters MUST GO, it shall be.”

Jeeze, I’m all with you on that. Maybe I’m communicating badly. Essentially what I was (originally) trying to figure out is how the Republican Senatorial Committee looks at candidates. In Florida you have two candidates, with either one as a shoe-in unless they’re caught with a pre-pubescent boy (assume Crist knows enough to hold that back, for now)...one of them essentially matches the voting record of Republicans in the Senate, while the other one is WAAAAYYYY to the left. So which one should make sense...clearly Rubio...who do they select...Crist.

IT MAKES NO SENSE.

There are way more than two Republican candidates. Bob Smith...Republican then Independent then Republican again from New Hampshire(?) is running too.

Initially the Florida RSC picked Crist but they had to with-hold their endorsement when Rubio and everyone else complained. This is when the pressure was put on the Florid R-chairman (Greer) to resign.

The "fair haired" governor was the choice of the Senate committee, to the chagrin of most Republicans, definitely us conservatives, in Florida. He was shoved down our throats. Rubio is a terrific conservative and a breath of fresh air.
