MYFOXNY.COM - Police on Long Island are investigating product tampering at several supermarkets.
On Wednesday and Thursday, Suffolk County police discovered tampered packages of Jell-O brand pudding mix.
Nassau County police are also investigating an incident at a Stop and Shop in Woodbury.
It appears the packages were purchased, emptied of their contents and repackaged with another substance. The items were then returned to the stores.
Suffolk County Police Lt. Michael Murphy says what was inside looked like "a fine substance, like aquarium sand."
