Yes and I am sure that some in the present elitist cabal also treat the “help” likewise as well. A rotten shame.

I have no use for the Divine Ms. Clinton.

thanks for the update.

now that we’re reassured, I admit that I was tittering thinking of President Bush DRIVING her to the hospital - watch out!

Fox said tonight that the Secret Service took Mrs. Bush to the hospital. That makes more sense to me. He’s elderly (not always a negative) and feeble. Assisting Barbara would be difficult, but maneuvering the traffic too would be hard for someone of his age and condition. Actually, that makes me feel better that the SS were there to help.

Thanks, ohioWfan for the update!

I'm so glad to hear her condition is not life-threatening!

Mrs. Barbara Bush, and the Bush family, are in my prayers.

Former first lady Bush expected to go home Wednesday

Former first lady Barbara Bush is expected to be released from Houston's Methodist Hospital Wednesday morning, where she has been for four days while doctors ran medical tests to determine why she has not felt like herself for the last few weeks, a family spokesman said late tonight.

Bush, 84, will be discharged Wednesday morning, said spokesman Jim McGrath. He did not release any specifics on why she sought medical treatment or what possible ailments doctors may have been exploring. The former first lady is eager to go home and to get back to her scheduled events, McGrath said.

Accompanied by her husband, former President George H.W. Bush, she went by private vehicle to the hospital Saturday, but specific details on what she complained of have not been released. Spokesmen have given only vague explanations for her medical distress, saying she was not in any pain, but did not feel like herself.

Doctors have been running tests to pinpoint what may be ailing her.

The family hopes to have more information on the family matriarch's medical situation on Wednesday, said Jim Appleby, an aide to her husband.

Thanks for the update, Luvya!

I wonder what her symptoms have been and if they've found out anything.

Think we'll ever know? For public figures, they are really private people.

The story in the Houston Chronicle said the tests suggested Mrs Bush may have had a relapse of Graves disease. The doctors have adjusted her medication and expect her to make a full recovery.

Thanks again, Luvya. :)

Mark Davis (subbing for Rush today) said that Mrs. Bush had come home today.

My sister has Graves disease and sometimes the meds are difficult to balance. That diagnosis makes sense.

Barbara Bush released from Houston hospital

By TODD ACKERMAN Copyright 2010 Houston Chronicle
March 31, 2010, 11:14AM

Former first lady Barbara Bush was discharged from Methodist Hospital this morning after a series of tests suggested she may have had a mild relapse of her Graves disease, a thyroid condition.

Bush, 84, was “alert, talkative and appeared to be getting stronger” as she prepared to leave the hospital, according to a statement released by Methodist. Doctors had adjusted her medication.

Accompanied by her husband, former President George H.W. Bush, Mrs. Bush went to the hospital Saturday. A spokesman at the time gave vague explanations for her distress, saying she wasn't in any pain but did not feel like herself. .....

Methodist's statement said Bush is expected to make a full recovery and should soon return to her normal activities.
