“Souls are more important than politics.”
I applaud anyone’s desire to ‘save’ another. However, to suggest that we have no obligation to our country or our fellow citizens is naive at best. The history of our nation has depended upon people being willing to disagrre on all sorts of things but standing together on the really important stuff. If reaganaut would prefer an Islamic theocracy or a communist dictatorship, it is just around the corner
And again if Glean Beck is all that stands between us and the fall of our nation to communism and/or a Islamic theocracy, we are in a whole heap of trouble...
Perhaps there is more to it than all of that and maybe, just maybe, a little multitasking is in order, for it profit a man not to save his entire nation if he does not save it's soul...
I never said that we have no obligation. I love this country and am more than willing to fight for it, I spent part of my childhood living behind the Iron Curtain. I have more first hand knowlege of communism than most Americans, and I hate it.
But I WILL NOT compromise my faith or my ministry behind my politics.
Fear not him who can kill the body...
Too often I see people who put their physical welfare ahead of spiritual welfare or equate their faith with their politics.
I do not. And Beck is not this countries savior.
You are RIGHT!!
(And, reaganaut did NOT say that - it's YOUR strawman.)
