Weekend question II: Does "Obama rapes Liberty" cartoon go too far?

You know, Clinton dabbled in socialism and held those beliefs early on too. And certainly Hillary did, and was a fellow Alinsky-ite as well. The Clintons were dangerous because of THOSE beliefs, not just because Bill wanted to screw anything he could get. But his emotional neediness made him a very poor President as well. The combination of socialist beliefs and desperate emotional neediness makes for a DANGEROUS President. They would take us all down to save themselves.

Bill Clinton is a narcissist and Hillary is a cold and calculating Leftist. They were not good for this country and we fought against them as hard as we could. We saw the evils, the murders, the Chinese deals.

We were right to fight them as hard as we did.

But Barack Obama is worse. Bill Clinton still had a bit of love for America, even as it paled to his need for love himself. He lied to us and hoped we would believe his lies to be the truth. Barack Obama hates this country, hates the American people (Hillary also has no love for the American people), and does not even care if we believe his lies. His narcissistic attitude is “I am lying to you, and F you if you don’t like it. I’ll say what needs to be said, and if there are problems, I’ve got guys to FIX it. You are screwed and I don’t give a flying.”

So I don’t regret ANYTHING we did to fight against the Clintons. They should never have held power in a free country. But they did not put and end to us. Barack Obama seems to be coming close to doing so. And he doesn’t even care.

The Statue of Liberty can certainly be interpreted as a metaphor for American popular sovereignty, but I’ve always thought of it as something more universal. I think it a personification of the spirit of freedom, which although often shackled and abused stands as a beacon of light to a world too often shrouded in darkness. Obama and his ilk can never extinguish her lamp as long as one man remains alive to keep the flame lit.

Why are we even worried about offending these people? Are they worried about offending us?

Amen to that! The main reason the left keeps it up with their feigned outrage over behavior one-tenth as awful as the stuff they pull is that they have found it very, very easy to get public apologies from sad-puppy-faced Republicans. Why wouldn't they keep at it when it works 80% of the time?

Although I can't stand the man (and will contribute to his primary opponent), John McCain had it right when he stood up to that twit Ann Curry on the Today Show when she asked if Sarah Palin's 'cross-hairs' on her web page was 'inciteful'. Curry was doing what all of the liberals do, seeing if the Republican Apology Complex was in bloom that day. To his credit, McCain shut her down.

We (conservatives, Republicans, logical thinking people) need to stop apologizing and letting the liberals define what is and is not acceptable language and behavior, because they don't subscribe to the same rulebook.

Mere words cannot express my hatred for that son of a bitch. But I think Gandhi had the right idea: evil is best defeated by passive refusal to accept its authority. If directly threatened by illegitimate power, a free and moral people are bound by their duty to act in defense of the lives and liberty that properly belong to them. Let us never reach that terrible moment.

I agree the truth is nevver too far. If they are complaining it means you are right over the target. me thinks the left is going to have to learn to tolerant a lot in the coming months!

I disagree. There were other factors that got the British out of India besides Gandhi’s non-violence movement. If it were his movement alone, it would not have worked.

But, OTOH, massive civil disobedience is, IMO, the next step here. Refusals of all kinds, massive national strikes, massive demonstrantions in DC (say 10 plus million people). I think those would have some effect.
