Employer-based health insurance makes slaves of the employers and the employees. Real reform would eliminate employer-based coverage and send us all out on our own to buy or not buy insurance. If we can afford it but choose not to buy it, too bad, so sad.

I want us all to buy our own insurance (not mandated by the government) and I want the insurance companies to compete for our business in a totally free market, across state lines. I don’t want to pay for maternity coverage, drug rehab coverage, psychiatric coverage, Viagra, birth control, or other things I don’t need. I want to choose my own level of risk (deductibles) like I do with my car insurance.

Let my people go!
