I think I'll go to a store across the ridge in Union County that still sells coal by the bag. Then I'll build a fire outside. High sulfur coal if I can find it. All outdoor flood and inside lights on as well. Then I'll look at the stack lights blinking at Bull Run Steam Plant a few miles down the valley.

If it wasn't so risky I'd drive up on Sharps Ridge and snap pictures of downtown Knoxville at 8:45 especially the TVA Towers and bank buildings, post them on the web, and show the Pagan Moon-bats turning their lights off the rest of the sane world doesn't.

Turning lights off in commercial buildings for an hour is an exercise of futility will likely cause more power to be expended getting them all back on. Turning off such electricity using machinery as commercial air conditioning units will use even more upon start up. I wish I didn't have to retire when I did. I could have easily used about 1000 amps at work for this solemn occasion.
