But none of his followers are, for the reasons I’ve stated in this thread.

You see, the most fragile part of the socialist (progressive) is their pride. Their entire worldview is founded on the fact that they have fooled themselves into believing they are noble and honorable because they support “social justice.”

In truth, social justice is a mirage. It’s the reflection in the mythical pond—Narcissus in love with himself.

McCain has fallen for the reflection in the pond. Palin has not, from what I can tell.

When the McCain thing is over, another argument, one that works, will be necessary for the antiPalin nuts.

I’m not anti-Palin.

I like her and support her, and I think she is making a big mistake.

Her strength (heretofore) lies in her aggressive, unapologetic expression of what we all believe.

We do not believe in McCain.

It’s a mistake, and its the kind of mistake that McCain made during his career.

It’s too late for McCain. It’s not too late for Sarah Palin.

Yet.

"I was going to vote for Sarah Palin, but now she's lost ALL of her Conservative credentials by endorsing McCain."

"I can't believe Sarah Palin is throwing Conservatives under the bus for John McCain! Now I'll never vote for her!"

"She can't WIN! She quit on Alaska, and that's all her opponents need to say!"

"She didn't outright say that she wants to deport every illegal alien in her first 100 days of office, so that means she supports total amnesty and open borders! What a RINO! Why she didn't even spit on John McCain right in the middle of a campaign speech when the topic of immigration was mentioned, so how could she be a REAL Conservative?"

"I was thrilled when John McCain picked her as his running mate, but now she's tarnished goods. That's just a fact."

"I was open to supporting her, but this (insert latest bullcrap spin on latest bullcrap accusation of the day against Palin) is a deal-breaker for me!"

"Jim Demint for President in 2012! I don't care if he's completely ruled it out!"

There is no argument against Palin for supporting McCain, because there is no way to make the claim that if Palin hadn’t done this transient little favor for McCain, the attacks against her wouldn’t have been a lot worse.
