It’s commemorating the 65th Anniversary of the Allied Forces defeating the Nazis. I have no problem with this because it is after all a part of history whether you like it or not. They might not be teaching it in history classes any more, but it is part of world history.
But why do we need to do this in Moscow? Why not France? Or Berlin for good measure? We should NOT march in Moscow. It legitimizes the 45 year occupation of Eastern Europe by the Soviet Union, and the actions of the Russian government in Georgia.
BTW, they are going to have large pictures of Stalin in the area; potentially on Red Square itself.
