Well, if we could convince most of the Universities in the U.S. to turn out the lights - AND KEEP THEM TURNED OFF - America might be a much better place.

I just designed their new cancer center lighting. It’s pretty green as far as lighting go, better than the previous design.

“the worlds largest climate change event”
I believe it was the emperor Caligula who battled the sea. Now we’ve advanced to taking on climate. That’s progress. In any case, I wonder if any of these participants will see the irony of turning out the lights and sitting in the dark. Probably not.

I celebrate every Earth Day by turning on every light in the house. I only wish I had a big spotlight or searchlight in my yard to light up.

8:30 PM Saturday, local time, as I understand it.
I’ll be turning on all the lights, the furnace, and washing a load of laundry.

In 2009 the Competitive Enterprise Institute, in the link below, offered a short video in celebration of Human Achievement, a concept they promote to counter the leftist-ecotard-dimwits' Earth Hour (very appropriately symbolized by "lights out" as in the superstitious Dark Ages).

Virginia Commonwealth University participates in Earth Hour, turns out the lights Students who wish to study during that hour may congregate in my backyard where I will light up my woods. (Pilots on approach to RWY 27 at CDW look to your left when on short final.)
