Can we just rubber stamp "STUPID!" on his head?

On second thought, tatoo the damned thing on his head.

He never indicated any hostility to the American government.

Yet another example of the problem. This is not a criminal or even traditional war like mentality we are against. He doesn't have any hostility to the American government.

He has hostility to the idea that Islam is not in control of all people all over the world. Americans are just those who are currently standing in the way of Islam.

It's nothing personal and it's nothing that he feels anger or bitterness about. It's just that if Islam is to be in world-wide dominance, then those who oppose the idea will have to die. It's really just that simple.

Steven Killpack is lucky this isn't Japan. There he'd be expected to kill himself in shame.

Since this is America he's not likely to be stopped from doing that.

I encourage him to drop out of the practice of law first, then do it.

Naivety...........

No, just another liberal thinking just by making nice to these terrorists they will stop killing us. It is in the Koran - they believe the Koran. There is nothing anyone can do to dissuade them from killing us. There is no Utopia and Kumbaya is so yesterday. Get a clue liberals.

He probably wants to get captured, so he can go back to Gitmo.

Killpack also said that, as far as he knew, Abdul Hafiz was not facing any outstanding charges in Afghanistan and he was being returned to his homeland to "resume his regular life."

Yep, and that's exactly what he did. Jihad terrorism IS his normal life.

It’s spelled naivete.

Anyway, how do morons like this think the guy ended up in Gitmo? Do they think he was just wearing his man-dress, happily riding his bicycle down the street and those eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeevil soldiers snatched him off and dragged him all the way to Cuba?

No.

They captured him, interrogated him in the field, and determined that he wasn’t just a bad guy, he was a *really* bad guy...maybe even a really, really bad guy. He got sent to Gitmo because LOTS of people were REALLY certain that not only was he a really bad guy, but that he could help us find and capture/kill LOTS of other really bad guys.

No - lying sack of crap lawyer.

Among US criminals who get caught - it is extremely common for them to return to their life of crime after release. Why would terrorists be any different?

Answer - they aren’t.

Yet alleged “racist” namecalling against members of Congress gets far more media coverage than this.
