OVERLAND PARK, KAN - Sources have confirmed for FOX 4 News that a Moore will run for U.S. Congress from Kansas' 3rd District in 2010.
Stephene Moore, that is.
The sources close to Democratic Congressman Dennis Moore back up earlier reports that Moore, the congressman's wife, did polling in the district before deciding to make the race a go. She will be vying to replace her husband, who announced last year he won't be seeking a seventh term. The former Johnson County District Attorney has held his own in a generally Republican 3rd Congressional District.

What a coward. He wouldn't face voters at Town Halls because he couldn't take the heat. He chose not to run for re-election because he couldn't defend his voting record. Now he thinks he can hand his seat over to his wife because she won't be held responsible for his record. I hope voters don't fall for it!
I think you better change that headline! I thought married gays are in Congress too! Oh, boy, I’m paranoid.
Picket their lawn!
Who’s up for it?
These people think that they, their spouses, and children are ENTITLED to be in positions of authority. This includes the Bushes as well.
Cool...a dynasty. Most Kansans,no doubt, will be thrilled to see one or more Moores in the House/Senate in 50 years.Oh well, the Kennedy dynasty is dying. Why shouldn’t we have another RAT dynasty?
The “ruling class” really are trying to set themselves up as the neo-nobility, aren’t they?
This is pretty obvious in their policies that they foist on us while excluding themselves.
I this a joke?
When did Kansas become England?
I would not put the Bush family in the same catgegory as this couple. I believe all of the Bush’s who eventually made it into politics held serious jobs in private industry. So, they brought some experience of the outside world to their elective office. It’s a far cry from some families, the Kennedy’s in particular, and some of these father-son House districts where it is assumed that a family member will replace the elder member of the family.
Look at what happened in Delaware. Joe Biden had a friend “keep warm” his Senate seat to hold it for his son when he returned from Iraq. It didn’t work this time as the economy and the anti-Democrat tide forced Beau Biden to reconsider and withdraw his name.
We don’t need another democrat female...pelosi is enough.

You do have a valid point. The Bushes are different in that they have did do a lot of private work. However, I do believe if political parties and the electorate are constrained to a few family names creating more an elitist ruling class, it would be something that our founding fathers would say that is what they declared independence from.
Dennis Moore to run his wife for his House seat in KS.
I'd be with ya, bro, but I don't have time to drive to DC.
John Murtha’s wife feels she should occupy the throne here in PA.
Do you have the time to drive to Lenexa?
That’s where they live.
GUILTY!
Hiding behind your wife’s skirt, Dennis boy?
Well they needed a sacrifical lamb, I’m surprised that Steph volunteered to be it.
This does make some sense. There are a lot of rumors - completely unconfirmed - that Dennis is pulling the plug because of health issues. If those rumors are true, then it might make sense for them to make them public at the same time that Steph announces she’s running and make a play for the sympathy vote. That’s about the only chance the Democrats have of holding his coalition together.

Funny and appropriate You Tube video of Dennis Moore. You have to stay to the end, my favorite line: “This redistribution of wealth is harder than I thought.”
