Washington (CNSNews.com) Rep. Patrick Kennedy (D-R.I.), a professed Roman Catholic, told CNSNews.com Wednesday that federal funding of health plans that cover elective abortions is not a question of morality but a matter of health -- public health.
Obviously theres going to be some legal decisions that are going to be coming forward, Im sure, that are going to adjudicate this, Kennedy said at the Capitol. But obviously, weve got to protect womens health. Half of our population are women, and -- this is a matter of public health.
He added: Its not a question of morality or anything; its a matter of health -- public health. Our mothers, our sisters, our spouses, I mean, this is a simple issue. Its not making any judgment on people. Its just a matter of providing -- making sure that theyre safe. And theres only one way to make sure theyre safe, and thats making sure that its legal.

The womb should be the safest place on the planet. Thanks to reprobates like the Kennedys, it's a very dangerous place. At any moment, on a whim, the innocent person residing there can, under the color of "law," be tortured to death. And no one will do anything about it.
Patches can “profess” to be anything he wants. It is by his actions he will be judged. He has excommunicated himself from the church and no priest should be giving him Holy Communion. It’s time that the local bishops start standing up to these so-called catholics.
That lobotomy was a LEGAL PROCEDURE! If you don’t want a lobotomy, don’t have one! /Sarcasm
(That story is one of my favorites to use in pro-life discussions.)
Whenever this subject comes up I always as..."If I stab a pregnant women in the stomach & kill the fetus I get arrested for murder. But if that same woman does it, she's made a choice?"
If only Joan had believed in abortion...
Wow! That is the best framing of the abortion issue I have heard!
Brown University's William J. Clinton Professor of Political Ethics expounds on the morality and necessity of emergency abortions at public expense for those occassions when one is too stoned or lazy or, well, quite frankly taken completely by surprise, to use a rubber.
Ok, Patches. I’ll play.
LUI (Legislating Under the Influence) needs to be considered a matter of public safety. You should be in the Big House instead of the House...
Oh, it MOST CERTAINLY _IS_ A MORAL ISSUE,
even to the pro-aborts.
The WHOLE REASON to make sure that abortion is fully funded by the taxpayer is to try to remove any moral relevance to the act of killing the unborn.
People who have been involved with an abortion, if they have not repented, are having the reality of innocent blood on their hands, and they want to make sure that nothing in our society “judges” or “condemns” their decision.
17 haughty eyes,
a lying tongue,
hands that shed innocent blood,
18 a heart that devises wicked schemes,
feet that are quick to rush into evil,
19 a false witness who pours out lies
and a man who stirs up dissension among brothers.
Did they do a drug or alcohol test on him before they questioned him.
Kennedy’s do not have the slightest clue as to what is moral.
Most pro-aborts that try to maintain the veneer of “a good person” will deny that abortion is killing a baby.
Simply ask them the question - when IS it a baby?
If they give a time, then ask them what the difference was one second before that time.
If they say they don’t know, ask them if it’s OK to err on the side of killing a human being if “you don’t know”.
Inbreeding is hell on mental abilities.
Democrats are amoral people. They have no moral failings, because they profess to no morality.
So some living say.
Hey, it looks like Patrick is 7 for 7! What an over achiever!
This mother f’n dope...I was trying to think who he reminds me of and I just figured it out. He reminds me of the son of the dope of Aqua Loggers on Axemen on the History channel.
Both father and son more dangerous to people around them as they are to themselves.
I used think of the Kennedy's as just white trash with money until I learned that this was too lofty of an opinion of them.
AGREED.
more than half of the people who have this "procedure" die.
